Not sure what some of you are going to do, but Grant is absolutely RIPPING AV a new one on Sportsline right now over her articles in general and recent one on Rick in particular. How do you reconcile your hatred for both when one starts ripping another? ;)

Whatever, they both suck and basically pull their plays from the same playbook of trying to stir stuff up to get viewers/readers. I think Grant is just mad that the Bee posted an email from someone that ripped him a new one.

I say we all email into the bee and let them know our dislike for AV and Rant. Both have taken their positions a little to far.

He is right though. That article today should have been about what a great job Adelman did and not about Mike Bibby, since she said last week would be a "defining" one for his career. She just hates it when he succeeds.

If I could hear him, I'd just kick back and enjoy it.

:D

I wouldn't waste my time sending an email about either one. They're in the media. As long as they get responses - good OR bad - it means they're being listened to or read. Ignore the whole thing and they get ZERO recognition.

Grant Napear inspired me...

I know. I'm as suprised as anyone else, but Grant said something on his radio show today that had me hard at work on the 'ol Photoshop.

That looks like one of Conan O'Brien's "If they mated" pictures... With Prince and Michael Jackson.

You guys come up with the funniest stuff sometimes.... :D

He said she's always been an Adelman hater and has wanted to see him fired for years, that she has an agenda and she doesn't give him the recognition he deserves. He said if she's going to write that the last road trip was the "most important in his career", how come she wrote an article on Bibby instead of going 2-1 with wins over the world champs and a higher seeded team in the west? He also ridiculed her idea that it was more important than all the playoff series he's won, etc.

It was fun to listen to. :)

Sorry folks, but I like Grant Napear and think he is a very good play-by-play announcer. He does a good job. However, I seldom listen to sports-talk radio anymore because the listener-comments are generally so lame.

AV seems like a hateful person.

I think Grant is cool as a pbp, but he is annoying as hell on the radio. He seems quite a bit two-faced from what I have heard of him on radio compared to TV.

^ and ^^ I have said the same on here many -o- time. Grant is a horrible talk show host but IMO a great PBP announcer.

I could be wrong, but isn't his "two-faced" nature a result of him basically being an employee of the Kings while doing his PBP, but not when he's doing his radio program? He doesn't annoy me very much, even on the radio...I think that he simply has the freedom to say what he really feels in that forum and those of us who listen to him in both capacities see his views as contradictory. It's just the nature of his two jobs...it is the job of a radio host to be disagreeable and downright inflammatory at times...keeps people listening.

I have listened to the radio when he has been on with Gary Gerald when the game was broadcasted on National TV and I have heard Grant comment on how he is able to say a lot more on the radio than on TV. I enjoy listening to him and Jerry on TV a lot, and I think Jerry helps to balance him out a lot, their two personalities compliment each other well.

I also enjoy his radio show, but as far as being two faced goes, I have heard him make comments about something (i.e. the Kenny Thomas issue back in January) and then when confronted about them, denies them. That's the only complaint I have about him. And didn't he say if we traded for Ron Artest he would quit his job?

AV seems to me to be a female R.E.Graswich. More stirring the pot than giving us insight worth reading. Some of her articles are right on but not all that many.

Grant and Mike are a great Ying & Yang. But the best combo of all is Grant and Jerry on satellite NBA TV. Fun, cute, to-the-point commentary from Grant and a great spin on everything by Jerry.

THat leads to an interesting thought: "Who are the other really good pairings on NBA TV Kings games? My wife and I will take G+J over them all. :)

Napear v. Voisin? Meh, they're both weak. Carmichael Dave owns them both.

Dang, if he would've actually quit that would've been another reason to trade for Ron.
