You know what? Nobody cares how you "feel" - "feeling" doesn't do **** to keep the team. If you want to sit there and wallow in misery because you listen to the media and believe that the team is gone despite some hope to the contrary, then you are part of the problem, or, at least, not part of the solution. What have YOU done to help keep the team here? That is the question to ask!
So quit posting about how you (in general terms, not "you" Gary) think the team is gone and how you will be "right" if they don't stay. Nobody cares, nobody who is working to save the team wants to hear it, and by sitting there whining about the possible move you aren't helping the situation at all. So get off your collective a**es and contribute in some way. Show up at City Council meetings. Donate to the cause if you live far away. Write letters to the paper, other team owners, or Stern.
And dammit, if nothing else, quit coming here to be a "debbie-downer" - complaining when people don't appreciate a defeated attitude and childlike whining.
As the saying goes - lead, follow, or get out of the way. KJ is being the ultimate leader right now. Mike (and others) are doing some leading. I am trying to follow closely as best I can. It sounds like right now we just need you to get out of the way, unless you choose to help.
Dylan Thomas once wrote:
Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

I thank you, Mike0476, kennadog, Capt. Factorial and all the others who are raging against the dying of the light. This battle is not over yet. The only way we lose now is if we stop fighting.
If people cannot understand that, I feel sorry for them. The sweetest victories come after the hardest-fought battles.
