Who the hell wants Tyreke back?
me.

2nd best guy in New Orleans, and really the guy who makes them go. Without him they were nothing. But he works well with Davis. When they are together they are dangerous.

be just a slight upgrade over our current SGs I think -- a tad -- although admittedly you could not have Tyreke and Rondo out there together.

So, just so I have it clear. Everyone projected us to lose this game, most by 20. DeMarcus and Rondo both get 3 fouls in the 1st quarter, Omri goes cray cray in the 2nd and hits from another zip code to keep up, DeMarcus gets ejected so, desspite the fact that he wasn't even playing, this is his fault? His ejection cost us 2 points. The refs weren't allowing him on the court anyway. so it isn't like it cost us his services.
I obviously can't speak for everybody but I suspect that it is about quite a bit more than this game.

Karl keeps trying to implement a system that is a complete mismatch for our personnel and trots out lineups that give up multiple advantages at multiple positions and some people have the nerve to keep defending him?
Who has the tenure? Who has the merit? Who has the success?

Cousins for all his talents, has zilch to show for it.

You mean it's not ok for Karl to coach? But it's ok for Cousins to quit on his team?

Why do people continue to defend Cousins? I don't understand this.. he tossed himself out of the game... I really don't understand...

That was the old Karl, the Karl who was a noted and complete butthead, who also had the drive and sheer force of will to put his player's noses to the grindstone and get crap done. The George Karl PDA hired in a hurried attempt to save his job is one of those things.

Lets not act like Cousins' frustration are tied to any singular game either. He's already come out in the media when they've asked him about his defense and his offense and he's specifically pointed to the fact that he's doing what he's being asked to do. When this blows, it's going to be bad. Paul Westphal bad. Vlade is going to have to be really quick when it does.

Tyreke Evans is a "slight" upgrade over Ben McLemore in the same way that DeMarcus Cousins is a "slight" upgrade over Quincy Acy. I don't hate the idea of an Evans/Belinelli backcourt, though.

Addition by subtraction, removing that cancerous attitude from the team improves chemistry and we get better effort every night from everyone across the board. Its the same basis Toronto traded Rudy, except we would get real talent back for Cousins.
Boy you'd sure do have a lot of faith in this FO.
We are talking about the same FO who gave away IT right?

It's okay for him to coach. It's not okay for him to coach badly and then for us to come out and blame the personnel rather than the coach.

I've also done rather little Boogie defending in this thread but apparently anything that isn't rabid "TRADE BOOGIE NOW!" is considered defending Demarcus.

Have you watched him with NOLA? He's a horrible disappointment. Sorry, but he peaked his rookie year and is NOT a star. He's a role player.
Yeah he's averages are pretty solid in NO like I stated in my post. And who's asking him to be a star? And what you think Ben, Marco, DC, gay are doing better? Please explain

Wait. Wait. Is this an opinion or sarcasm? I'm getting lost. :)

....
Cousins had 36 points last night and we still lost. It's about seeing the forest not just the trees. It doesn't matter if Cousins plays or not-- our problems right now go way deeper than Cousins. And I think the attitude around the team has directly contributed to Cousins' gradual unraveling. We saw considerable progress in his leadership abilities last season and now we're seeing regression. If he were the only problem than you can discuss addition by subtraction. But he's one part of a much bigger problem. Don't treat the symptoms, treat the cause.

You are so alone on that. New Orleans fan base wants him gone.

I assure you that it is not coincidence that Cousins leaped to All-Star level once he left.

Tantrum? Outburst? I can't be the only one who saw that as one of those fake technicals that coaches get to fire up a team or defend a player. For someone as passionate and emotional as Cuz, that looked totally manufactured and controlled to me.

Ultimately it was him that caused the fiasco last season, along with PDA. Glad to see him hand over the reigns to somebody else.

Vivek doesn't know enough to be anything constructive or destructive other than making social faux pas at the most inopportune moment. He listened to the wrong guys, that's all. They're gone, time to move on.
