35-47 from the field starting with several minutes in the first half until the end of the game. Luckily I was blacked out of this one but that has to be the worst defensive performance I’ve see this year (or maybe best offense? You tell me)

This is another game where the other team is specifically targeting Monk in pick and roll. Maybe going "all offense" is indeed a bad idea. The Kings give up the corner, we know that, but you can't give up the lane like that on almost every play because you'll get stomped inside or out.
Malik just doesn’t look right right now either. He’s not moving well laterally, just sorta walking the ball up the court, and doesn’t seem to have consistent push on his shots. Some guys just aren’t meant to play starters minutes and that’s okay.

Can’t imagine what Brown is thinking of right now. Team is slumping bad. I wouldn’t say it’s for lack of effort either. But now you really risk losing the team. Let’s see if Brown could turn this around and actually keep them engaged and motivated these next few weeks. I imagine some major change will happen if we lose to the Pistons

One of the reasons you can't afford to have your lead player creating distractions in the media at a critical time for your team.

If he felt the need to do it, then do it completely in private.
Sacramento is 0-3 since the interview. They had just lost the tough game to Denver the night before. I appreciate honesty, but this interview and its timing smacked of self promotion.

Don't see it mentioned specifically but I think Brown's insistence to play starters heavy minutes is catching up to team too ... This game specifically - Indy came in fresh, Carlisle spreads his guys minutes, Kings on back 2 back so the fact it was tied at halftime was in Indy's favor. 2nd half was all theirs partly cause they were fresher.

The issue is instead of Brown realizing the starters are overplaying the last couple weeks and dialing it back to play the bench more - He doubles down on it! Like tonight playing just an 8 man rotation.

The Pacers pass the ball around more than any team we've seen, and yet still get pretty bad shots after all that work lol. Their record makes some sense unless you're the Kings defensively and you give up wide open look after wide open look. Carlisle is stomping Brown. From the first moment the Pacers were committed to that wide open corner 3 off pick and roll. Again, the averages work out in the end.

He could be hurt. A lot of our guys like to tough it out and i love em for it, but DeRozan and Sabonis have NOT been the same since their backs started acting up. We’ve been worse on both ends ever since

Could be, he's always got that leg wrapped. Monk was always a bad defender but yeah, I don't remember him getting beat this often. He's getting some big blocks and steals but it's all gambling. Keeping the lead guard in front of you staying near them is crucial if you can't protect the paint and give up the 3.

On a human level I hate this. Someone is going to get fired, traded or whatever. Some kid is going to say goodbye to his friends at school because his dad got fired and has to move. Some house many memories were made in is put on the market. Someone gets a lesser job at his next stop after riding a few year high. It’s the nature of sports entertainment but still sucks.

It’s not Brown. I have my criticisms of Brown but he isn’t the problem.

The lack of roster balance weighs on the players now too. They know they don’t have the means in house to fix their problems and it shows in their confidence.

It’s on Monte. The team is fatally flawed even at peak performance. This isn’t a problem that has snuck up on the Kings either. It’s been obvious since the jump.

I’ll grant that he’s been let down by certain players(Keegan, Huerter) but the most meaningful attempt to address their length and athleticism deficit the last 3 years has been a trade for Kessler Edwards. That’s embarrassing

What’s the real reason Keon is being treated this way? He was almost a huge reason we could’ve won that Denver game and now it seems like everything is going to hell smh i don’t wanna let this team go yet. Not everyone at least.

Team has quit. I don’t think Brown can survive this but the blame is in the FO if you ask me and that’s probably part of why Brown demanded his extension knowing we’d have no wing depth or an appropriately sized PF.

If he does get fired he walks away $30-40mm richer and with a COTY in his trophy case. Not bad at all

Both Fox and Monk gamble way too much IMO. Slide your feet and keep your man in front of you is much more effective than going for the high risk play. Im
not sure if that’s on coaching instructing them, or if they leave it up to the players to make that read. Either way it’s reason enough to not want to build around those 2 in the backcourt in my opinion.

Keegan is one of the biggest players let down by roster construction though. He’s forced to do too much and is the only passable PF we have despite being better suited as the 3.
