I don't believe I've seen such an overreaction as this........blame Cousins for everything wrong with this franchise. Incredible. I'll say it again, Cousins will be here and George Karl will be fired.

Sacramento media has been soft on Cousins for six years, they have coddled him as much as the organization. If he were in a bigger market he would either have a even worse reputation due to media disclosing more or he would have been forced to grow up and look in the mirror. Grant's rants against him are actually outliers compared to the rest of the media. BTW from what I heard yesterday Grant is mostly right, what did he say that isn't true? Sure his delivery is agressive but he pretty much said what a lot of fans are thinking, and he sees way more of Cousins than any of us.

I think it is a huge mistake to anoint him as leader. He doesn't have the capacity. I don't think he is spending a lot of time arguing with refs but I will pay more attention to that tonight. I know people think the reason he is the last person down the court is because he is busy arguing. I don't think so. What I have seen is that he will approach refs during a time out. I think there has been a significant improvement in this.

The first thing he does every time he feels he should have got a call is turn to ref with palms out and grimace on face. Then he continues his beef once timeout is called. He doesn't reserve his complaining just for dead balls. And he is reducing his credibility to nil when he goes ballistic over legitimate foul call. He clearly slapped Curry on the hand in his shooting motion. You know what they say about "the boy who cried wolf"; after awhile no one believes you.

Cousins is too talented to have to beg for preferential treatment and borderline calls! But this requires patience and intelligence like a LeBron James. I won't go into it now but the guy Boogie should be patterning his game after is LeBron not the bigs frequently referenced on this site (Hakeem, Shaq, Ewing, etc).

Boogie has more in common with LeBron and a power game off the block than classic low post players. Both are decent but not bullseye shooters. Both have amazing agility for men of their size and position. The difference is the efficiency and the IQ and the court vision. This is the growth that needs to occur to his game to realize his potential and take his teammates with him.

Critics should be more concerned about this than his temperamental outbursts and lack of leadership. It would be nice to have the latter but if and when he demonstrates the former we will be a consistent playoff team.

Quick stats to back up this analysis is that Boogie and Lebron have the same usage (32.8%) and among highest in NBA. But LeBron assists at twice the rate of Boogie (18.4 to 9,3 assists ratio) and is a much more efficient scorer (55.6 to 51.6 TS%) even though LeBron's efficiency is way down. This comparison reflects Boogie need to pass up shots and look for open teammates and show more discretion in taking high percentage shots. It is so obvious when you get past all the noise.

We've got the ongoing "trade DMC" thread so can't we just let the game thread from the Warriors die away in ignominious defeat, as it should?

Come on, man! Nothing is over and it's going to be very good in the end. You can't go into this kind of mourning based on one game against GSW. That is outright ridiculous. The team has to get together and decide that it was a poor show professionally and change the disc. That's all. The one thing that makes me a bit disappointed was Omri's great night. If a couple of other players would have had a good night as well, who knows how it would have ended. I was also pleased to see that there are guys on the bench that can come in, like Quincy.

Lol and now we're about to lose to philly at home
