Part of it is due to the attitude of the IT fanboy contingency. Part of it is due to the attitude of a number of us who are sick and tired of listening to Grant and Jerry pontificate about the greatness that is IT while we watch the stupid Pizza Guy commercial 60 times a game. Part of it is due to the message board mentality that always has to have someone to pick on. And part of it is because we're losing.

He's been scorched on D as bad as ever - but nothing new. Lucky for him Rudy has bailed him out several times with couple weak side blocks and all sorts of help D for little IT.
He scored 3 points on 3 shots. Not great but lets not pretend that his play is why he isn't playing. How good was IT for the first 4 minutes of the game?

There's no IT fanboys that I've seen in this forum.. most are just kings fans trying to defend their favorite king player on one of the most anti-thomas sites I've been on. I'm in the middle. I believe he's a 6th man and I would have loved that trade for Rondo.. it's a little weird how anti-thomas people are on here, but we all agree that he's the best 6th man starting pg, but on SB Nation they're so pro-thomas that they hated the idea of trading IT straight up for Rondo.. they believe he's a top 15pg.

Rudy deserves a lot more criticism than Thomas tonight. Want to talk about forced shots? Almost all of Gay's shots have been heavily guarded attempts.

Does our PG not have a responsibility to get our #1 option out there better looks so he doesn't have to force? Rudy generally doesn't force when he's being set up.

No, there are a couple of IT fanboys. For the most part, however, I will agree that there are a lot of fans who really like IT and want to defend him when, if they really looked at what was being said (with some obvious exceptions) they would realize most of us feel the same about the bottom line. IT isn't starting point guard material. He is best suited as a 6thman, but with our current lineup that's simply not possible.
When you keep referring to people as being anti-Thomas, you're as far off as you think I am when I refer to IT fanboys. Most of the old-timers around here have been through these types of things before. We're gonna complain about IT as long as he's playing "out of position" because he's not what we want to see as a point guard and he frustrates the hell out of us.
As I said above, if some people would quit trying to constantly put IT on a pedestal, others wouldn't have to try so hard to knock said pedestal down.
