Ahhhh..... well.

Two of the worst teams in the NBA square off to do battle in a fight everyone may soon yearn to forget.

Nah, it should actually be a decent game. Both teams are playing with a little bit of something to prove right now. Too bad Kevin Durant is out with some funky ankle injury. Heard he's pretty good.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The Thunder are starting to play decently, Scott Brooks is the next Gerald Wallace ;), anyone? No? Not funny? Well I thought it was.

Looks like we may just shore up that greatest chance at the #1 pick. As long as Gilbert Arenas decides he wants to play and Spencer Hawes proves quite the astute observer: This is where no defense happens after all. Right now, that's okay. I kinda want Golden State versus Phoenix all the time right now.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The awards will have to wait until next game because they require a decent amount of diggin up info on a team's players and.... It's the Thunder. I know, I know, that's just lazy, but. You know maybe I will post them tommorrow.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Game advice: do what you always do. Sit and watch, sit and drink, stand and drink, watch and eat, whatever. Also, Westbrook and Green are impressive, you want to see a couple of talented young cores watch this game.

Well, if the team is serious about getting that last place, this is a must lose. Will be difficult, what with playing at home and having that Denver game for high spirits. Thankfully, OKC is on a good run as well and might be getting Jeff Green back. This might actually become a good game, regardless of emotional investment. Uhh...anyway, I think Collisson should be a lock for TDM, I see not much potential for a LW/VC and neither for a RA-and1.

Essentially, OKC is what I would want the Kings to look like soon, so I may be a bit biased concerning these awards. Anyway, here's to hoping for a good game.

Let's hope the Kings keep jacking up those 3's. They can't keep making them at the rate they did against Denver. Clank about 4 for 22, should get the job done.

With that stupid Denver win this now becomes the dreaded two game win streak trap -- one presumes Cleveland will end it nicely next game.

OKC has been winning despite shutting down their best players, but I really think turnabout is fair play. No Durant? cool, time for Kevin to rest his so called gimpy ankle too. No Jeff Green? Who is that for us? Noc maybe? Cisco? Those guys are playing too hard anyway and trying to hurt our franchise, shut 'em down and let's make this a fair fight.

Oklahoma City may have to continue its strong play on defense to extend its run, as Sacramento has scored 223 points in its last two games.

Just thought I would share this quote.. it made me laugh when I read it. Are we viewed as that big of a threat offensively?

Rest here..

Just hope we compete, continue to show more effort on defense, and watch JT and Hawes have good games on the same night. Oh yeah, and lose. Keep it close... lose in the end.

Of course this is the Kings FO you're talking about...With coach Natt at the helm to boot.

38 minutes for Martin, 35 for Noc!

Maybe he'll still smallball us to a loss...

Let's go Kings. Make it fun to watch. Make it exciting. Then, if you play hard and still get a lin, that's okay. We just want effort. Nothing more. Just effort. :D

Gotta love our coach's subs ..

Spencer throws the ball way out of bounds ..

Nocioni throws the ball way out of bounds ..

coach calls for cisco

cisco comes in for JT

In Natt's defense,

JT has seemed pretty useless lately. Kid has hit the wall pretty hard it would seem.

I'd still prefer to see him play through it though, then get subbed out for more smallball bs.

To those watching the games....Statwise JT isnt producing, but how are his intangibles? Am I just missing some tips, deflections, and defense cause I cant watch the games?

Someone should let Will Solomon know that he's playing the point. Before he came to Sac, he was averaging 3.2 assists per game. In almost identical minutes here, he's averaging 0.8.

Solomon is quickly becoming a "never saw a shot I didn't like (to take)" kind of guy, in my eyes. Blech!!

;)

Seriously, I think Jerry and Grant may have been right when they mentioned that he's hit a bit of the rookie wall and now has way too many people trying to tell him how to get past it...

The energy is still there, but he just seems at times to lack direction. He's on the court right now, though, and he's hustling all over the place. In fact, just perhaps a mite too frenetic.

Ah, but in the Book of Sherman (see my blog), it is written:

"If you see a shot, take the shot."

I don't mind seeing it, especially since Solomon is here for so short a period of time...

Yeah! Thanks for that reminder. It helps. :p

Hmmm...He had that problem in the begining of the year too.

I'm not that worried. I have a feeling JT is going to put in a ton of work this offseason and turn some heads his sophomore season. I would still like for us to get a legit big man coach in here. SAR is OK...But I'm thinkin....Vlade!

Also...RE: Hawes,
the coaching staff should make a rule that he gets to attempt one 3 for every 3 fts he shoots.

Regardless of the rookie wall or whatever, JT has one thing you cannot teach no matter how hard you try - the kid has HEART! I think he's going to have a very long and productive career with the Kings. We knew he wasn't going to be perfect when we got him, but the potential is there!

This young Kings team is beginning to really develop something else they're going to need going forth - trust in each other. That has grown by leaps and bounds since the trades and I suspect it will be a major focus this summer and beyond. These kids have a lot for Kings fans to be excited about. A couple more pieces and we could be having a whole lot of fun in 2009-2010.
