Putting to sleep once and for all the "he can't play defense" excuse for why he hasn't been doing it all year long.
He has definitely been showing a working knowledge of the concept of defense, which had been sorely lacking...
Martin is basically a good kid. I can't help but suspect the whole issue of benching him or any other player for not being at least willing to try might have sunk in...
Regardless, I have to agree with Brickie. Not even I, one of the biggest Martin apologists in the history of the game, can use the "he's just not defensively oriented" excuse any longer because he CAN at least do a somewhat adequate job.

How bout a 24/9 or 10/4 or 5 assist martin? Thats what it seems like he's on his way to in this game.

I think Kevin definitely has the potential to be that guy. I just think he has to make a point to keep that goal in the back of his head each game and each possession.

I like School yard ball, means we turn the ball over and ultimately lose the game. JT needs to learn he doesn't have to dribble the ball when he's in the paint already

Thompson has to stop bringing the ball down for that ' power dribble ' .. its to easy to steal in traffic .. just go straight up or pump fake, dont dribble.

Good thing is, I'm sure he'll improve on that pretty easily... Sometimes I wonder if he's got a killer enough instinct once he's in the paint.

There have been about 20 WTF? plays tonight.. Wide Open Dunks, Passes to the fans / bench .. passes to nobody .. Travels when no one is near you .. and then about 7 unforced turnovers ..

JT pulls a lot of Mikki Moores. Just about every game I watch he loses the ball through no fault of anyone else. It's like he washes his hands in oil. 5 TO from him so far, and it's just him not catching the ball, or thinking he is a guard.

I really can't believe anymore at this point, that anyone is playing this game seriously... Wide open air balls, throwing the ball away non stop.. This is gonna get even more comical I believe... I can't see this being poorly played ball - just poor acting by both teams!
Sit back and enjoy it. Revel in the fact we actually saw about 20 minutes of good cohesive basketball, even against a lowly opponent. Watch the camaraderie develop between our young players and rejoice in the knowledge that the Clippers are finding a way to beat the Cavs, which should ensure that Cleveland will not allow a repeat performance on Friday.

I'm enjoying this alright, battle of wills currently. Whose will is stronger to lose. I'm almost convinced at this point both these teams are trying to throw the game, just right now the Kings are doing a better job at it.
