The Kings are very likely to make the play in unless the Suns suddenly get their act together AND either the Mavs get AD back and start winning and/or the Trailblazers catch fire.

So I think it's likely they land at #13 or #14 before the lottery. At that point they'd need major lottery luck to not lose the pick.

Could they wind up at #12 or so? Maybe. It wouldn't be impossible and they have a very tough schedule to finish the season, but I think it's most likely that they get bounced from the play in and lose their pick too.

Not if you keep it to yourself.

You might recall that the NBA changed the lottery rules so that no team has a greater than 14% chance of winning the top pick, and that applies only to the bottom three. There is no possibility of the Kings reaching the bottom three with sixteen games to go. If you are an owner, is it worth it to alienate your entire fanbase?

The hardest part of doing such a drastic and quick retool is it slows reaction time during the bad moments and possibly also falsely extends the good runs for a few games. This team is running on instinct until the end of this season so from here on it's a game of either/or.

Being on the east coast is hard for west coast sports viewing. Game won’t start till 10 here in Tampa. My wife and I aren’t even gonna look to see where it’s being shown considering how bad they have recently played.

A week ago, I said that we needed to get McDermott on the court, get him the ball, and run a few plays for him. He is so quick and so deadly with that three-pointer, it can make the difference in a close game.

Not once this season has he got hot when it mattered. I would rather see him shoot eight threes than Murray or Monk.

Lyles is off the injured list. That's big, because we need another man to help guard JJJ. For Memphis, Santi Aldami is out. He always gives us trouble. So is Scottie Pippen, Jr.

Maybe we will see Isaac Jones. It's about time that the Kings offer him a full-time, NBA player's contract. Both the Kings and Golden State have fewer than the required number of regular contracts, which is fourteen.
