I don't know what happened with him Minnesota, but Derrick Williams' jumpshot form looks nothing like it did in college. He used to have a quick release, but now it looks like he's hesitating just before the release.

Always has going back to H.S. when he was tossing lobs to team mate Kevin Durant, then on to more at Univ. of Maryland. After that he never had as many finishers above the rim like he does now - especially with BMac and DWill.

Williams is doing a little bit of everything. If nothing else, it's been a very solid debut. He can clearly do things a 3 can do. His handle is fine. His passing is fine. His shooting is suspect, but we already knew that.

I'm not ready to go that far... He's certainly benefited from having a couple days of practice before his first game. Not to mention coming to Sacramento feeling like he has something to prove.
