No Durant tonight, but the Kings have lost fifteen straight in Oklahoma City. Will that continue?

Wait, I'm confused. Are you saying Casspi is better than Durant? Are you saying Casspi is more important to his team than Durant? Not many people are going to agree with you on that one.

Also, while DMC had a good game it's kind of hard to call it a "millennium performance" when he went 11-27 from the floor.
No, I'm absolutely not saying that Casspi is a better player than Durant. Durant is about as good as they come and Casspi is not. However, Omri can really contribute to his team without taking opportunities of the others to shine. Often people seem to think that he disappears in games, but I think that is misleading. His attitude is to fill in when needed. He keeps his efficacy rating (PER if you like) up by hitting his shots. That allows for the others to shine. In OKC Westbrook and KD are very ball dominant. Both are elite players, but their style will not carry the team beyond 1st or 2nd round in the POs. If you compare OKC to the Warriors or the Cavaliers, you'll notice the difference immediately.

And DMC... Well, there are things that you can't see from the stats sheet. He was simply totally dominant among some of the toughest big men in the NBA.

Since when is Collison a mediocre shooter? Look at his shooting percentages for his career. The guy is a rock out there. He's never going to lead the league in shooting percentages but for a PG his percentages are fantastic and absolutely not indicative of defenses sagging off of him.

I just don't get how Collison doesn't fit the team. He's just about the best backup PG in the league. It's not his fault that Karl doesn't use him as a PG. It's not the players fault if he isn't being used correctly.

Remember Omri has just a couple years of success while Rudy has about a decade. Is Rudy falling off a cliff or just going through a tough run right now? We don't know but you can't just write him off by New Years. If by some miracle they get to the playoffs, you're going to need Rudy's skill set when the defenses clamp down. Omri relies heavily on his teammates to get him shots and that doesn't always happen when a team like the Spurs has everyone on lock down. Cousins, Gay and Collison are the only guys on the team that can go get their own shot when it's crucial.
I pretty much agree with you on this. One of the most destructive things is to overcorrect. You should not change players based on stats from a few games. It's like jet fighters steering systems. Their computers can calculate the follow up reaction of the plane and smooth out excessive steering motions. You can control situations with the PT option without making an incident of a bad day(s). Take a deep breath before you start to trade players. Don't trade players because you don't want them. Trade for what you need.
