After the draft, how many of us would have guessed Murray would be our most effective defender on Curry and Mitchell. His steps defensively are insane.Keegan's gotta get the crown tonight, no?
As is tradition.Luke Walton still taking L’s in Sacramento
Gotta say that the "Jaden Ivey has more star potential than Keegan Murray" takes have aged poorlyAfter the draft, how many of us would have guessed Murray would be our most effective defender on Curry and Mitchell. His steps defensively are insane.
Keegan is blossoming before our eyes
Keegan is bringing so much more this year it's incredible
I remember thinking that Coach Brown was kinda insane having Keegan guard Klay Thompson last year. He doubled down and has him guarding PG/SGs... his defensive growth has been phenomenalAfter the draft, how many of us would have guessed Murray would be our most effective defender on Curry and Mitchell. His steps defensively are insane.
I was all in on Murray after the draft, but must admit I was buying into the Ivey hype during the draft. Thank god I’m not the GM.Gotta say that the "Jaden Ivey has more star potential than Keegan Murray" takes have aged poorly
Almost had one more rebound at the very end there, the last play he was in.Sabonis missed a triple-double by one rebound: 23-9-10.
I'm just going to say that Keon doesn't deserve a rotation spot over Mitchell but I understand Brown rewarding Keon and I'm sure relayed that to Mitchell but in terms of impact I don't see Keon as better than Mitchell imo.
The Fox factor is real. Like Jordan level, lol.
yeah I'm kind of with you. I think we've got to find a way to give both of them minutes, but Coach is riding with the hot hand right now. I don't like that we're putting Davion in the dog house though. He's played much better throughout the season than someone like Chris Duarte. I know he gives us size and plays a bad enforcer role, but his minutes feel undeserved right nowI'm just going to say that Keon doesn't deserve a rotation spot over Mitchell but I understand Brown rewarding Keon and I'm sure relayed that to Mitchell but in terms of impact I don't see Keon as better than Mitchell imo.
The second chance points can be forgiven: Cleveland is huge up front, and a superior rebounding team. The free throws should concern Kings fans, though.Only downside tonight were giving up second chance points, missed free throws and Duarte having 4 fouls a in 9 minutes haha. And of course Len going down, hope he is ok
Fox 28-6-2 for his first game back and he was like our 4th best player tonight. Unreal.
But yeah his gravity of collapsing the paint is how this offense runs to it's full potential. And now that Monk is doing it more consistently too; just having two guys constantly attacking the rim with a stable of elite shooting (Keegan/Kvon/Sasha were a combined 11-22 from 3). Oh, and you have baby-Jokic orchestrating the the off-ball stuff at the top of the key to still key in on and stop.
Keon's offense hasn't translated, but the big difference is he stays out of the way and keeps our offensive flow moving. Davion is a ball-stopper when he's got primary ball-handler duty.
And flat out, Keon's defense has been better these last 3 games than Davion's all season. So if we're going with the no offense/all defense, the answer has to be Keon right. Far more versatile too with his switchability to defend multiple positions and play down a spot if needed.
I disagree with this statement. Have you not been watching the last couple games? Sure Keons shot hasn't been falling tonight, but He isn't in there for his shot.I'm just going to say that Keon doesn't deserve a rotation spot over Mitchell but I understand Brown rewarding Keon and I'm sure relayed that to Mitchell but in terms of impact I don't see Keon as better than Mitchell imo.
