Hey, we aren't that great right now, but at least we aren't Utah.
The problem is Marcus Thornton, John Salmons, Patrick Patterson, Jason Thompson were given credit before the season for being good players, and all are now scrubs. No coach can deal with half your rotation turning to duds
Utah will blow us out if we keep playing like thisHey, we aren't that great right now, but at least we aren't Utah.
I don't know how you know that. I don't know that. We've never seen Isaiah Thomas play when the team is structured around him being the secondary scoring option. I happen to think that there are enough shots to go around in one starting session of minutes for both players, especially when you consider the fact that they play completely different positions.
Most middling teams have an IT in the starting lineup. Monta Ellis, Rudy Gay, Brandon Jennings, etc. Again, you don't win a championship featuring those guys, but they bring you to a certain spot in the standings, then you trade them or move them to their intended role once you are contending. You have to walk before you can run, or however that saying goes.
I can't stress it enough how not 'ideal' this whole team is. The pieces don't fit, but we owe it to this city, to DeMarcus Cousins, to the new ownership to TRY and win as many games as we can. Or at least I thought that was the plan. I think starting Isaiah Thomas gives us a better chance to win games, period. It has its pro's and con's, but I think the pro's outweigh the con's. That's my take in a nutshell.
But we know how each other feels about this whole situation at this point.
Coach Malone already feeling the stress of this job... feel bad for him
Ouch....Hey, we aren't that great right now, but at least we aren't Utah.
at this point im just becoming amused by how terrible this team is

Ouch....
Utah has played a much tougher schedule.

First bolded point: IT isn't as good as those guys.
Second bold: What good does gunning and trying to win a few more games for us? Let's us get worse odds in the lottery? Makes us worse in the future? I think you are in the minority with wanting to win more games while playing a style that isn't going to get us anywhere. Most people would much rather try and build for the future.
The other problem is that with the exception of Jennings, none of those guys are pg's which mean they usually have to get the ball in order to ball hog it, which gives whoever is running the point the option to pass to others. When IT goes into hero mode, he has all the control. He's extremely efficient and really good at what he does but his style isn't best suited for a major minute starting pg.
