Westy stuck with the bench a bit too long there in the 2nd, but now that Cuz made it to half time with only 2 fouls look for a heavy dose of him in the second half, just like last game.
And if Marcus can find his stroke we will be ok. It doesn't help that Wallace is the EXACT type of 3 Salmons will struggle to defend. Just too big and long.
I think the only bench player deserving more PT is JT, Blazers can't guard him inside or outside, and we need to go bigger against them to contain Wallace. I think Hayes is a good switch on Wallace because he's obviously big enough but quick enough on D to guard him.
Hayes - 10 minutes
DMC - 11 minutes
Reke - 12 minutes
WTF WESTPHAL?
DMC not playing enough in the first half probably to avoid foul trouble same goes with Hayes, we dont want our defensive bigs going 4 fouls in the 3rd thats the way I see it. and hickson is already doing some damage along JT on the boards. only reason its close is because marcus shot is off. not to mention reke isnt pounding it in the paint.
surprised garcia and donte not playing... well, not surprised with donte not playing but garcia?
Yeah, I don't get that rotation either...he needs to adopt an Adelman-esque rotation...some nights its ok to go deep, and nights like tonight it's not, and you stay 8-9 deep.

I say show some guts. Stick your best guys out there as long as you can, don't freaking fear every call. Rely on that depth when you need to not when you don't. If Westphal thinks that the Kings "depth" can beat even the most marginal teams starting 5 he's out of his mind. In concert it can be deadly, but I've never seen a coach go out of his way pretty much to sit his starters in favor of his bench. He got better towards the end of last year but a person who understands history and fails to not repeat the same missteps is mind boggling.
