[Game] Kings @ Spurs, 2/1/14, 5:30 PST, 8:30 EST

...My biggest issue with Thomas is the forces 3's. His FG% would be much better if he'd stop chucking from deep. I get frustrated too, and I have no real issue with the Thomas complaints I just think it's a little funny because of how the team get's absolutely nothing from half the roster every night.

But the rest of the team hasn't been placed on an incredibly high alabaster pedastal by the dynamic duo. We don't have any kind of high expectations for most of them. With IT, however, you get your hopes up...

And then he ties the game. :p

Don't you think that's a two way street though? How can you expect all that much from the rest of the roster when the PG doesn't regularly look to involve them and get them good shots? If IT isn't going to get them going, who will? When guys like Ben and DWill have gotten going, it hasn't been due to IT, it's due to others.

IMO it's like bashing NFL receivers for not performing enough after you ran the ball 40+ times and only threw a handful of passes their way. Can you after the fact turn around and say the receivers didn't do enough so what can you expect?

I think you know what I mean.
I'm quite certain I have no idea what you mean.

Thomas is the only one who can do what Thomas is doing.
Only one who can do what, score a point a shot?

I'm not basing it on points as much as I'm basing it on talent. No one else on this roster can do what Thomas is doing while handling most of the ball handling duties playing just about 40 minutes a game without Cousins.
The primary reason he's doing most of the ball handling is because he won't give up the basketball.

The rest of the roster is shooting fine for the kind of players they are, but they aren't being asked to do anywhere near what Thomas is doing. Their job is a lot easier.
Aren't being asked, or aren't being allowed?

Oh please. The Spurs fans actually thought Duncan would get a continuation call on that? Holy crap...

Why must that be true? We're what, 0-7 without Cousins? It seems to me that his minutes might actually be counterproductive to team ball. IT hasn't really handled any "ball handling duties", unless that means looking for his own shot.

Some would argue that the first person you should look to when that happens is the point guard...

And then I'd say you are expecting to much from him. He's not elite. He doesn't 'do it all'.

If you are expecting Thomas to turn 8 other OK at best players into good offensive players, and defense the opposing teams best player, and pick up the scoring slack with Cousins out, and play 40 minutes ...

He's not that guy. There are only a handful of those guys on the planet.

I'm incredibly proud of our Kings right now. Regardless of what else happens, they're at the end of a back-to-back and they're showing exactly what I want - heart and hustle. I will agree with Grant on one thing - it's about time the Kings won one of these.

I LOVE THIS TEAM!!!
