[Game] Kings @ Spurs, 2/1/14, 5:30 PST, 8:30 EST

Would someone explain to me why Matt Bonner is being left open? Missed assignments? Poor help defense? I have to find something that doesn't involve IT...

Well, I didn't really say he's been awesome. He's been the 2nd best King tonight though, and is really the only other capable scorer on the roster right now so his shots are what they are. I don't know who else I'd want taking those.
I'm going to have to disagree with you, but that's mostly because I don't personally evaluate who the "second best King" on the night is according to points. In fact, points is probably the third or fourth thing I look at when I am evaluating players, and I don't give him a pass because he has the second-most points.

I mean, you talk about how much better you think Thomas is playing than his teammates, and you specifically cite Thornton. But take Thomas and Thornton and their .364 combined shooting out of the equation, and the rest of the team is shooting a combined .452, and everyone else is playing harder on the defensive end. And everyone else is doing better at moving the ball around. So, he's really not playing better than anyone else.

Derrick makes a couple of nice plays, feels unstoppable, and starts forcing it bad. Still only 22 y.o. though - he'll get better.

I don't understand. Is this meant to diminish Gay's shooting and elevate IT? Gay is the ultimate team man. IT is far from it. See it anyway you wish.

Rudy Gay is performing at peak efficiency with the amount of shots he is taking. I don't know if he is capable of playing any better offensively, so I like his shots where they are for the most part.

Isaiah Thomas is shooing too much. We want him closer to 15 than 20 for sure, but with Cousins out that's 17 shots that have to go to someone. Could more of them go to Gay? sure, maybe. But I'm not that upset that he isn't getting them because of the way he has been shooting when he has been shooting.

That's all. just one man's opinion.

Yeah, that's the idea IT. Go over and argue with the official. Luckily, Jason bailed you out.

Suck it up, shut up and play the stupid game. And that goes for anyone who thinks they're actually going to change the mind of the official. Ask DMC. It's never worked for him.

There is no way of playing anything but iso ball with IT leading the team. He dribbles and dribbles (remember all the complaining about Tyreke) and when the clock is run down, he passes because he hasn't found his shot.

Now that's an exaggeration of course but it happens far more often than it should.

I simply cannot enjoy this win or lose. On the other hand, I like what I saw from Ray. Ray's major problem is experience.

No complaints on the defense on that last Spurs possession. Kings did as good as anyone could have... but then Parker pretty much strolls inside.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand the wheels on the bus are falling off, falling off, falling off! The wheels on the bus are falling off.............

I think you know what I mean.

Thomas is the only one who can do what Thomas is doing. I'm not basing it on points as much as I'm basing it on talent. No one else on this roster can do what Thomas is doing while handling most of the ball handling duties playing just about 40 minutes a game without Cousins.

The rest of the roster is shooting fine for the kind of players they are, but they aren't being asked to do anywhere near what Thomas is doing. Their job is a lot easier.

My biggest issue with Thomas is the forces 3's. His FG% would be much better if he'd stop chucking from deep. I get frustrated too, and I have no real issue with the Thomas complaints I just think it's a little funny because of how the team get's absolutely nothing from half the roster every night.

At this moment, the thing angering me the most is that IT has gone terminal stupid out there. If he wants to be the leader, he has to THINK like a leader. But nooooooooooooooo... terrible lapses at the worst possible time. And it happens time after time after time.

Some would argue that the first person you should look to when that happens is the point guard...
