Time out and commercial.

Scot Pollard looking up at the clock, trying to figure out if it's moved in the past four hours...

Just so everyone knows...this was not a bad effort. A bad effort would have been losing by 15-20. This is so far beneath bad effort that bad effort would actually get a team grade of A.

Price miss; somehow the Kings get a rebound and Price draws a foul and goes to the line.

3:09 left

Price makes first; and second.

103-73 IND

One lone voice somewhere near the rafters chants, "de-fense." It doesn't work.

Two more for IND.

105-73 IND

Sampson nice bank shot off the glass for two.

105-75 IND

IND loses ball, Cisco finds it but is able to give it back to the Pacers at the other end.

The Pacers, not to be outdone, commit an over and back and return the ball to the Kings. Luckily, all this occurs with the clock running.

1:48 left

Jason Hart for two.

105-77 IND

Steal by Price for easy breakaway two.

CROWD CHEERS!!!!!

105-79 IND

Cisco for two on another steal.

105-81 IND

Arco crowd actually cheering the performance of Price and Garcia. God bless them.

Pollard for two.

107-81 IND

Kings ball. Turnover. IND ball.

Flagrant foul called on Jason Hart.

IND misses.

Granger at the line - one and one.

108-81 IND

Less than 30 seconds left.

Skinner feed inside to Ronnie Price for another dunk. AND more cheers from both people left in Arco.

108-83 IND

IND shot blocked by Skinner. Kings ball.

Game over.

108-83 IND

Wow - your the woman! I got to work and got slammed with weird calls - drunk naked guy at a local fine dining establishment and kids stealing alchohol - maybe they were all home watching the game and were over come with Kingspain - I think I am glad this is a game I didn't see. Thanks for the PBP - awesome as usual

Well, that was just ... special.

This is one of those times when you just have to stare at your TV and wonder if you're dreaming, hoping you're dreaming but knowing very well you're not dreaming because they would have done better in your dreams.

...sigh...

I shall wake tomorrow to find that they did not even play tonight. This was all just a nightmare.

The only nightmare will be if I replay the entire game in my sleep, which I have done before.

I think I'm going to have a Corona now...and watch Cinderella Man again.

Great movie, for those who haven't yet seen it.

And, just in case there's any doubt whatsoever:

I STILL LOVE THIS TEAM!!!

great job VF!

i can't believe you finished doing this!

thanks!

as for me, i'll be watching Hitch tonight so i could fall asleep!

Adelman in the post game:

Go ahead and ask questions. I'm at a loss. I don't understand that one.

...What happened?

I don't know. We didn't compete. I can't understand how we played well two nights ago and then came out tonight with an effort like that. Everybody in that room is going to have to look at themselves and try and figure out what's going on.

...

He is very upset about how they simply let Jackson continue to shoot open threes. He says, "Knock him down. Do SOMETHING. You can't just sit there passive and let him shoot threes."

"We're not that good right now. We're acting like we win a game and it's okay. And it's not. If this doesn't at least open some eyes that this isn't good enough...Our main people are gonna have to do a helluva lot better than that."

Adelman is showing GREAT control in not completely going off against the lack of effort, etc. by his team. You can see it in his eyes. He's about one more bad game away from grabbing an Uzi and climbing the clock tower.

Kara and Koz both talk about how lackadaisical Peja was against Stephen Jackson.

I strongly suspect this game could well signal a flurry of activity by Petrie in doing SOMETHING.

I thought only KG brings Uzis (his remark in the playoffs couple of years ago :) )

"Go ahead and ask questions. I'm at a loss. I don't understand that one."

i think everyone feels the same way. :(

I have never seen Rick Adelman so blunt when talking about poor performances. He pretty much called out the entire team (albeit without raising his voice or swearing) to start putting forth some effort. I sure hope no one gets upset and demands a trade.

Koz said they're going to be going to the locker room to talk to the players. I'll try and post any comments, unless I throw up in my mouth just a little.

^^ please do.

i'm interested to know what they say (if they can even come up with something to say). :|

Skinner talks to the media...

We just gotta be consistent. You can pretty much tell if you get off to a shaky start, the second team has to come in and get things turned around.

It's disappointing. Playing well against the Clippers, playing team ball, and then coming out this game and it's an entirely different team. It's a loss. We have to stay focused. We have a three-game road trip coming up. We have to start working.

Skinner talks about his time on the Clippers, when they won something like 14 games total.

No one else is even shown. I think they emptied the locker room and left Skinner as the sacrificial King for the media wolves.

Hart in the locker room:

NBA finals thing? It's not gonna happen. When you come out with a lackluster effort, this is what happens. Like Rick said at half-time, the fans deserve to boo us. We have to do something. Get a good rebound, do something. You can't fool the fans.
