[Game] Kings @ Magic, 11/3/16 - 4 PM PDT/ 7 PM EDT

Still don't know why WCS played down the stretch
He can't learn sitting on the bench. I think the coach is trying to figure out how to use him AS WELL as WCS trying to learn how to play himself. Unless you think the coach is a fool, you have to assume there is a method in what he is doing.

Wow - Joerger looked and sounded liked he had no clue in the postgame "interview" (which consisted of one reporter - Kayte - asking questions)

This team can;t hope to make the playoffs when noone is stepping up and able to play except Rudy and Cuz.
Every single team plays better against the Kings than almost any other team, night in night out.

It looks like the league has already figured out the Kings "offense" and is not having much difficulty shutting it down in the 4th quarter.

And that is really it. I will admit 1) I have high hopes for WCS 2) He has been letting me down thus far.

I have yet to see anyone ever disagree with the fact that bigs can take a long time to develop, but they cant learn all they need on the bench or in practice. You are going to have to pay the price to reap the rewards. Whether the rewards are worth reaping is the gamble you made when you draft them.

Not sure I agree with your comments about how Joerger looked in the interview.

I think one of the problems is that the Kings actually haven't figured out their offense yet, not that the league has already figured it out. Maybe we have our offense, but majority of the players are not executing well enough yet. It's going to take some time and I have patience.

It was stated a few times that the main point of focus on Joerger's system so far had been defense from the jump. We have a pretty hectic opening few weeks and only a small portion of the offense has been tapped by the coach. Going to take some time to get everything going and then see if it will work or not.

Now basic rebounding and unforced turnovers? Thats straight up lazy or lack of focus/fire.

See, the problem is - this team doesn't have that kind of time to become proficient with basketball basics.
If they miss many more of these kinds of games, they will be too far behind the 8-ball to have a realistic chance of making the playoffs.

This team is simply not good enough to waste relatively easy wins like this.

Definitely wont argue with you there. We are watching the sand drain in the hourglass on a lot of things and can't afford the time we apparently might need. Quite a conundrum.

You talking about playoffs??

Are people seriously hoping for the playoffs?

My personal ultimate goal heading into the season was stability and .500... So in my mind, it's way to early to start panicking and throwing DMC to the wolves and all the other good stuff going on.

Weather the storm. Get DC back. Learn as a team. Hopefully win a few games here and there.

Baby steps. Baby steps.

Disappointing...The rebounding was horrible, I dunno if it's scheme or what? Even cus only had 7 rebounds. Willie needs to go - for as much mess Willie was talking about George Karl before the season...Willie has proven Karl right. Willie has struggled since summer league, when he's actually asked to do more than run to the baseline and stand there - he has looked horrible.

No one is saying Boogie is blameless but for some reason he's getting the brunt of the criticism while a lot of the big issues remain "probably Boogie's fault".
Because the best player played a damn good game, and nearly every single one of his teammates were the ones who played like utter trash?
Win as a team, lose as a team. Your attitude matches the players on this team and is why we lose. IMO

I get what you are saying and I mostly agree.

I know we all want the playoffs and we might need the playoffs so they don't trade Cousins, but I don't think I've ever heard Joerger mention the playoffs. I think he's focused on building it right from the ground up. If that means we make the playoffs that's great, but I don't think he's as focused on the playoffs as the fans are.

Vlade has not brought in talent. Not that it is an easy task. I'm convinced that Vivek will have to go.

Well there went any expectations I had.

I mean, anyone expecting that one coaching change and a couple of new players would turn a perennial spiral of suckitude into a 65-win team overnight can probably calm down a bit now.

It's more of the 8th seed in the West is as weak as we've seen in ages, but unless something magical happens when Collison comes around I won't get my hopes up.
