As I've been saying in the other thread I made about Wesley Johnson, his skills aren't that far off of Evan Turner. The major differences between them is Johnson is a better shooter and Turner is a better ball handler. If Johnson was in Turner's position, Johnson could very well be the #2 pick in the draft.
My top vote goes to Johnson.
Turner is quicker off the dribble, and Johnson is more athletic. Turner can create his own shot and create for others, while Johnson can't create for himself and he's not good enough to create for others. Not much similarity in their game. I think you are reaching to compare the two.
I don't mind Johnson but not at 5 when there are other players that imo are a better fit for the team and a better player overall.
Aminu is a better prospect than Johnson but I don't want Aminu because he will have to adjust to playing SF and all I have seen of him is a year at PF where he showed no SF type of game. Kind of in the same boat as Davis from NC. Reminds me a bit of Al Thorton. I like his game overall but he doesn't really have a position.
So in throwing BPA out the window we need to look at needs.. Definitely a big man since Beno is a good PG to put along side Evans for the time being. Who is left after 4th is the players fall where they are supposed to?
Aldrich, Udoh, Motiejunas (who I would not touch with a 10ft pole since I know nothing about him), Whiteside and Orton. Patterson and Davis to a lesser extent.
Scratch Motiejunas, Davis, Patterson, Orton and Whiteside from that list. Whiteside because he reminds me of Patrick O'Bryant for some odd reason..
Aldrich and Udoh are left.. I like Aldrich better. Seen more of him.. I have only seen a few games of Udoh and will have to wait for workouts, and measurements to change my mind.
