Yep, and in the Western Conference you've gotta win somewhere in the vicinity of 50 to avoid the play-in altogether. Which is why I imagine Scott Perry is referring to this season as a "gap year"; there were very few moves within the realm of possibility that would have elevated this team a full 10 wins beyond their total from last season. And that's why I would prefer the Kings just nuke the whole thing and get a jumpstart on a rebuild. Let some of the West's older stars retire over the next few years and see if the competition thins out at all, then prep your climb back up the standings.
