...you haven't seen one episode of The Simpsons?

Why do you keep stealing shows from my list?
From what I'm hearing via rants on the phone, I do believe Kingsgirl4 might ask you the same question. You'd be amazed at the variety of less-than-flattering adjectives she's come up with.

:p

As much as I love my next pick, I don't know that I would take it this early under different circumstances. With "Top Chef" already gone, however, can't let this one go any longer.

Project Runway
- Bravo/Lifetime (2004-Present)
-- Guilty pleasure to which I am hopelessly addicted.

Something like:

VF21 "Hello?"
KG4 "Hi, I can't believe Spike picked my show again! He has such great taste - he's a televisionary!"
VF21 "We all agree."

At least, that's what I envision the conversation to be like. Sounds pretty flattering to me. :D

With my next pick

In Living Color (1990-1994)

Just one of the many skits I remember from this show!

[yt=Head Detective]<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/uZihmHZtEPM&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/uZihmHZtEPM&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>[/yt]

I don't want to wait any longer to get this. I love this show. With so many different characters this one will keep me laughing... Too many to list, this show was just awesome!!!!

Pic and additional write up to follow when I get home from work.
I had been following this draft wondering when this show would get picked. I LOVED this show. Jim Carey, David Alan Grier, Tommy Davidson, all the Wayans. Had I been in this draft this would have been near the top of my list.

With alot of family-comedy shows getting picked up, Im going to have to snag Home Improvement (1991-1999) with this pick.

Great Great Great show. I'll watch anything with Tim Allen in it, and he was perfect for this show. The whole cast just worked so well together.

pardon the interruption (2001-???)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0307800/

well, sportscenter was taken, so i guess this is the next best thing. wilbon and kornheiser are a very entertaining duo, as evidenced below:

Mike: Pardon the interruption, but I'm Mike Wilbon. Tony, it's Mardi Gras, are you going to give me some beads?
Tony: I'm Tony Kornheiser. You going to show me your rack?

Maybe the show is not as legendary and storied as SNL, maybe its cast never goes on to do as big of things as SNL's, and maybe it trailed SNL in the ratings each and every of its 14 seasons, but with the last pick of the 6th round I select

MADtv - FOX(1995-2009)

Despite all the negatives mentioned above, MADtv held its own against the much beefier SNL for over a decade, and it stayed hilarious (nearly) the whole way. For a point in the early-to-mid 2000s its held by many, myself included, that MADtv sported a far better cast with comparative if not better writing than SNL. You can't go wrong with skits like Ms. Swan, Stewart, Outside Looking In, Leona Campbell ("You know what? UH UH!), Real M*******fing Talk, the Depressed Towtruck Man and spoofs like Lords of the Bling, Celebrity Survivor, and Lost just to name a few.

Its too bad the show was recently canceled, although it was on quite of a downturn in quality. Either way, I feel like its just a matter of time before it returns in some form or another.

with the first pick of the 7th round I select:

The Price is Right - CBS (1972-present)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0068120/

Lovely ladies, awesome prizes, ridiculous contestants, and cheesy announcers, what more could you want in a game show. Actually, that reminds me, MADtv did a really good Price is Right spoof with Frank Caliendo performing an awesome impersonation of TPiR's original announcer Rod Roddy.

At any rate, IMDb is kind of sketchy on how it splits on TPiR. It seems that the US version is its own and it has seperate pages for UK versions, etc. I'd gladly take both the original series hosted by Bob Barker and the new ones now hosted by Drew Carey (for all the haters, i say....give Drew another chance!). If this is unnacceptable, I'll of course take the primary 35 seasons hosted by Barker as my pick.

d-d-d-danger, lurks behind you...

duck tales (1987-1990; really? that short?)

Possibly because the one thing ducks do constantly, whether they're standing, walking or swimming is ... ... ...

Well, let's just say they'd need a LOT of spare pants.

;)

EDIT: Of course, now that I think about it, that might be a pretty strong argument FOR pants.

Guilty Pleasure Warning
I have no idea if the show Im about to take would even be drafted if I werent here, but I am, and Im going to take the often hated on The Real World (1992-Present)

The bottom line is the show is entertaining. I think Ive only watched 5 or so seasons, but thats what I like about the show. Every year its something different, a different location, a different cast, and different issues. Sure, at least 70% of the show is people making fools of themselves, but thats fine with me, there foolishness is my entertainment.

I thought about taking it earlier, but went a different route. I found the season with Kaitlin (the transexual), to be a sort of riveting social science experiment. How outside of the box was that? It was cool to see some of the stereotypes about transgendered folks addressed there.

I don't really want this to turn into a discussion of gender identity or the LGBT community, those interested in picking this up can P.M. me.

Hell yes! Completely forgot about the Duck Tales, very nice find.

On another note: At the beginning I thought it would be difficult to amass so many shows for the draft, but the longer it takes, the more shows pop into my head. Now I'm worried I won't be able to fit all those shows in my draft.

Kingsgirl4's turn, once again, has come up overnight on a work day. She'll make her pick as soon as she gets home.

I remember singing this song over and over again after watching the show.

I find these drafts follow NFL strategy, vs. NBA strategy. NBA will go BPA, while if someone picks an OL, all of a sudden everyone needs to pick an OL as well. Does this mean a cartoon run is in store? I hope not.

What spike? You want more cartoons picked? Ok... ;)

One of only two cartoons left on my list, I have decided to go with the adult humor first. This is something I can still watch today. With mindless humor and some good rock and roll (and sometimes bad LOL) how can I go wrong?

Beavis and Butthead (1993-1997)
