Maybe the show is not as legendary and storied as SNL, maybe its cast never goes on to do as big of things as SNL's, and maybe it trailed SNL in the ratings each and every of its 14 seasons, but with the last pick of the 6th round I select
MADtv - FOX(1995-2009)
Despite all the negatives mentioned above, MADtv held its own against the much beefier SNL for over a decade, and it stayed hilarious (nearly) the whole way. For a point in the early-to-mid 2000s its held by many, myself included, that MADtv sported a far better cast with comparative if not better writing than SNL. You can't go wrong with skits like Ms. Swan, Stewart, Outside Looking In, Leona Campbell ("You know what? UH UH!), Real M*******fing Talk, the Depressed Towtruck Man and spoofs like Lords of the Bling, Celebrity Survivor, and Lost just to name a few.
Its too bad the show was recently canceled, although it was on quite of a downturn in quality. Either way, I feel like its just a matter of time before it returns in some form or another.
with the first pick of the 7th round I select:
The Price is Right - CBS (1972-present)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0068120/
Lovely ladies, awesome prizes, ridiculous contestants, and cheesy announcers, what more could you want in a game show. Actually, that reminds me, MADtv did a really good Price is Right spoof with Frank Caliendo performing an awesome impersonation of TPiR's original announcer Rod Roddy.
At any rate, IMDb is kind of sketchy on how it splits on TPiR. It seems that the US version is its own and it has seperate pages for UK versions, etc. I'd gladly take both the original series hosted by Bob Barker and the new ones now hosted by Drew Carey (for all the haters, i say....give Drew another chance!). If this is unnacceptable, I'll of course take the primary 35 seasons hosted by Barker as my pick.
