[Game] Kings @ Clippers - 1/16/16 - 7:30 PT, 10:30 ET

Which is fine and dandy but if we're going to pull our best player for making defensive mistakes, maybe we could do the same with Marco Bellinelli or Darren Collison for once?
Cousins looked GASSED. I don't think he would've been able to cover the entire floor and contest...

He gave up a lot of points in the last few minutes and he was moving rather slowly. I think he's just tired. Good decision by Karl

No arguments there. Just trying to figure out why, if we were going with WCS for defense, we didn't make the move several minutes earlier in the game instead of waiting for our oddball lineup to give away all momentum.

Good scoring balance tonight.

Rudy 18
Boogie 19
Rondo 13
Ben 15
Omri 17
Darren 17

I like winning a game when Boogie doesn't have to be all-world.

This times infinity. I'll take 20 and 10 from Boogie if it means more wins....screw the video game stats.

Good coaching by Karl tonight. Trusted in the bench and it paid off.

We finally caught a break and got to play a banged up team gooooooood win!! For once I felt pretty comfortable for the most part. It never felt like the Clippers were gonna beat us.

Every.

Just got caught up and finished watching the game.

Winning > Losing

42 regular season games of Karl remain......he makes no sense.....we have an advantage with our bigs so George decides to go small....we gave up 14 offensive Rebs, WCS could have helped there......he just refuses to play any type of defensive lineup for long stretches, WCS could have helped there.....frustrating.

And the Clippers still get the benefit of the calls for some reason....don't know why because they are jackwagons.

Now cousins isn't a smart player? God forbid he have a semi off night after carrying our butts and literally doing everything all week. Jeez

Great WIN
I've been pretty consistent in that area for a couple years now. He's made great strides in areas of his game, but he's not a smart ball player. No harm in saying so, either.

19/13/6 is apparently now considered a semi off night.
I think most people were more concerned with the 19/10 on 57% shooting from a career 5/3 backup. FYI, that game accounted for about 20% of Cole's points this entire season, and about 14% of his rebounding.

Has anyone here watched the Clippers lately? I know they've won 10 in a row...but after watching this game, my question is how? I guess they had no DeAndre tonight, he makes a difference, sure. but I just wasn't that impressed. There weren't any stretches of the game where I'm thinking...yeah that's a really good basketball team over there.

Yeah......dude is never going to be good enough for some because he has those outbursts....I'm talking to you Grant Napear!

Suffice it to say they played crappy.

And really, since here we are again with the same situation, I do wonder a bit about those long layoffs. They hadn't played since Wednesday, and just never looked in rhythm.

Kings 2-0 since WCS started, just saying. He didn't play much this game but he did set the tone defensively to start the game. After the first quarter, he didn't play until the final seconds of the game. George Karl just doesn't trust rookies.

This is a known issue and I am not sure why he uses conditioning as an excuse. He just doesn't play rooks very much.

Watched the game with fingers crossed the whole time, which meant I couldn't participate in the game thread. ;)

I don't care how we did it. All I know is they looked like a team for longer periods of time and I wasn't screaming at the TV as much as I have been. Tonight is a good night to be a Kings fan.

And thanks to all the Kings fans who made the trek to LA to cheer on the Kings. I truly laughed out loud to hear the chants of SAC-RA-MEN-TO...especially when the Clippers fans couldn't outshout them.

Which is nice and all but if we were going to go to WCS for defense, maybe we could have done it several minutes earlier while the Clippers were making their run.

They needed cousins for offense, even though he didn't score much in the 4th. But for the last play, it was a no brainier because cuz had 5 fouls and you don't want someone who is purposely moving out of the way to avoid a foul playing D.

Anyhow, a great win.

The only thing that could be better is if they could do it again Wednesday night, and get a little payback for the TNT game.
