What an unreal and embarrassing performance. It didn’t even feel like they had guys that just got hot… they just looked like the better team and I am pretty sure the Wizards were trying to lose.

Once again we roll for extended minutes with the same lineup that is unplayable together with Monk, LaVine, DDR, and Sabonis on the floor together.

I think Jamal said it best during the thread… at least egos were protected…

SLAB

Hall of Famer
I don’t think Slab is okay with Zach. Zach was literally one of the worse trades in Kings history considering Zach’s salary, play and the fact he is blocking Keon from his best spot.

Stuck with you means we are not trading him without attaching lots of assets.
Okay with him is being a bit generous but that said, he isn’t as bad as he’s been since the personal issue. And we’re going to be stuck with him, so gotta learn to accept it. I do think he can be somewhat useful here in the right roster build (Ie, DDR being gone as step 1)

Obviously no idea what's going on in his life, but there's no disputing that he and Fox pretty much played neck and neck this year. And outside of the last 5 or 6 games, LaVine has been awesome for us, especially when played in good LUs.

I'd be extremely down for a full rebuild, but if you went into next year trading 2 of Monk/ddr/lavine, you could make a retool probably work.

The only chance for change is to hope that Vivek is embarrassed enough that he changes. The fans still turn out so Vivek is making plenty of money. This franchise needs real change. Something’s gotta be done.
For me I’ve been detached from this team for years already. I don’t care if they ever turn it around because in a sick way I want to see if this team can suck my entire life. That would be a real feat.

1-7 in last 8, 3-11 in last 14??? And we still will be punished with the play-in just because Suns will manage to lose more games???
Ugly offense, terrible defense - abysmal record.
At this time I just will wait for the next season to start. Sure, I still believe that Kings will show some pride and bite only to be let down again and again.
We have two good options: beat OKC in the first round or finish 11th. Everything else is meaningless.
If the Suns are one game behind us going into the final game, recall if they win, they have the tiebreaker.

That last game could be the tankathon to end all tankathons. Could be fascinatingly ugly. Like modern art.

DDR is one who should be dealt. Bring back a bette4 fitting piece.
Lavine can work here but not with iso players around him
Monk off the bench would be great….but he’s often not affective
Domas is not good on defense. I would deal him for the right piece or pieces to become a better defensive team

Need a PG
Need interior defensive presence
Bring Taylor Jenkins aboard

DDR would be amazing off the bench but I don't think he's willing to do it. Pick 2/3 of DeMar, Zach, Monk to trade.

Agree with your first two points. Disagree on Jenkins. The reason Ilsalo is the interim HC now is because the front office brought him in from Paris Basketball and he's the one that overhauled the Grizzlies offense. That and the fact that the Grizzlies hadn't beaten a winning team since February 2nd, largely due to Jenkins' poor time management and late game play calling.

Great conversation on the insiders on 1320 this morning.
Fans are finally realizing that no matter how much you talk about blowing it up, retooling, trading Domas or standing pat, none of it matters because the guy who has screwed this up for 12 years now, he’s still at the helm. The talk this morning has been more along the line of how long can this go on? Will Vivek ever look at himself and realize that what he has been doing up to now has been the wrong way? Will he ever give up basketball operations so people that know what they are doing can do what they are hired to do?

A fan even brought up protests but ham said he has seen how the team handles this situation. He knows that the team monitors social media and team forums so they know what’s being planned and react accordingly. So wearing a shirt with sell on the front will probably end up in a quick ejection. I’m telling you now kings, I have 6 free tickets to the nuggets game. We will all have our SELL shirts on under our regular shirts and we will get on ESPN. I hope Vivek is there cause we are sitting opposite of him. He’ll see us and I hope the kings walk us out of the arena. Go ahead and eject me cause I don’t pay for kings games anymore. Getting banned will not effect me one bit.

To anyone else who feels so inclined, wear your shirts, bring your signs. We’re not even gonna get loud, we just want Vivek to see us with our SELL shirts sitting in front of him. It’ll be a good showing on ESPN.

You're tilting at windmills if you think you can do anything to make Vivek sell. Vivek owns the team, Vivek wants to own the team, to the best of my ability to tell Vivek wants his family heirs to own the team when he is gone, Vivek is not going anywhere, and Vivek is going to Vivek.

It's obvious he wants to build a winning team. It's obvious he has yet to succeed at it. It's unclear whether he will ever find a way to succeed or not. But it's obvious nothing we do is going to change what he is going to do. He does what he thinks is best.

People can cry about "dysfunction" in the front office but we don't really know what's going on behind closed doors and we only hear what the angry voices want us to hear (and we can't be sure whether that is truth, selective truth, or lies).

The bottom line for Kings fans is this: If you can find a way to enjoy the team under the Ranadive leadership, then enjoy the team in the way you can enjoy it. If you can't, then you should probably find something else to enjoy rather than spend time that could be better spent enjoying things wallowing in hatred instead. Don't be miserable about things you can't change.

Dlo and KC focusing in on Domas again, saying he’s not being held accountable. And Dlo was mad that fans were getting mad at Levine. Hmmmmm…..
I’m siding with DLo on this one. He’s been getting a pass all over the place. Something isn’t right here. The Lavine situation is weird. S9mething going on with family or other that we don’t know but it’s weird.

But Domas has played hard, I get that, but he undermined Brown after Brown turned him into a triple double machine. I do think he grinds on his teammates for mistakes on defense when he’s the one that’s continually getting beat.
I think a lot of the players here have something going on but he has been getting a pass

I’m not miserable at all. I thinks it’s fascinating how such a smart guy could fail this hard year after year after year. I don’t expect him to sell! Of course he won’t!! But I am curious how fast we will get tossed out of the arena!
Ham said one thing, Vivek does not like to be embarrassed. Well, I wanna get these SELL shirts on ESPN cause it’s gotta start somewhere. I do t have the money to put SELL right on the large message board in the rail yards, which I think would be hilarious.

except that Zach was having an absolutely insane year in terms of the crazy numbers he was putting up. This just proves that it's not Zach that's bad, i'ts the Sacramento Kings play design system or whatever you want to call it that is bad.

Playing in the East on a team 10-15 games under 500. is not having a good season no matter what numbers you are putting up

Zach was putting up crazy numbers and the bulls were BAD. Now the bulls are playing out of their minds and the kings are REALLY BAD. I’m not saying it’s all Josh but the bulls look a ton better since he left.

I know there is a lot of dislike around here for Zach. I like the way he shoots and takes it to the hoop and isnt a ball hog. I would like to see him improve his dribbling and careless pass attempts. and to improve his defense. I want him to be an agressive leader on this team but he will see. I hope the kings win tomorrows game. and I hope they dont make the playin again. I think the front office needs to see us moving backwards for ay changes to be made

For some reason Domas has not been held accountable like others. I’ve seen every player get heat this season except for him until recently. He built a lot of goodwill from that beam team year (rightfully so) because he was the perfect hub that made that thing go.

There is no disputing his effort on offense but anyone who watches Domas on defense for even a game or two will see that he gives minimal effort on that end every night. His TOs have been bad for much of this year.

He avoids criticism for things others get called out consistently for. Seems like more and more media are starting to call that out though.

The sad thing is, had they not brought Lavine in, this team would have won more games just going with a Monk-Keon back court....who actually compliment each other pretty well
Who knows but Monk was on one of his down months. If this trade was about simply getting into the play in it was a stupid call regardless. That's far too much turnover with such a short amount of time. You make this move with a summer to work on things and then see not to to scrape in. Which they might just do BTW, so success if they do?

If DDR and Domas want out or are demanding the Kings to blow assets to build around them, deal them. Pure and simple. It would take a miraculous 2nd round appearance IMO to even make moves towards that seem reasonable. It's just too short on window and potential at this point to build around DeMar.

Domas plays hard unless the game is a struggle. He's been tuning out lately and getting extremely frustrated. It could be partly the ankle but it's been noticeable this year that the fire just isn't there.

I get fans are frustrated and this game was inexcusable, good teams taking 3 1/2 quarters off because they're cocky is one thing, the Kings did it out of pure not giving a **** and a lack of respect for their opponent. That's just not right. And again, Zach's having issues on top of the fact that this team is trying to patch together chemistry with their backs against the wall. Personally, I'm surprised the Kings are still in the play in, I kind of expected them to drop down sooner than this.

Not even close to success, backing into the 10 seed a few/several games below .500

It's really strange to see a great rebounding big, who is not a good defender. I think it confuses people
