G-League
do u think his injury is going to keep him out of the allstar game?!?! hes 6th in the league in scoring and even if he hadn't had the injury, i could see the league snubbing him out of the game just because theres not much hype around him when u have players like kobe, iverson, davis, nash, williams, mcgrady, paul and parker all in the same category... so anyways..my question to you is do u think he will make the all star game?

there are guards a little more deserving at this point.
Chris Paul
Baron Davis
Kobe
Brandon Roy
Steve Nash
and then maybe Kevin

Maybe....

if he went on a serious tear which he is capable of doing of avergaing 35 points and shooting 60% AND the Kings going a streak a get to over .500 by the All-Star break, he could potentially sneak in.

If the Kings are sub .500 he has no chance.

The write in All-Stars get rewarded for individual and team success, not just a player putting up stats.

I think at this point K-Mart is better than Roy, but Roy has played the whole year. Of course this can be debateable, because there are areas that Roy excells in like making Leathermen knives, and the Brandon Roy iPod. K-Mart gets smoked in that catagory. :D

but his team is also doing way better than anyone thought. so thats that in a hat.

Yah but that's because Zach Randolph is a cancer and was hurting the team (even w/ his decent stats). The team plays much better as a whole. I admit, Roy is a huge part of it, but I still think K-Mart is better..

Kevin Martin's a great 3 pt shooter, but he might not win this highly competitive contest for this reason. By the time he takes a ball off the rack, cocks down below his hip, then swings it all the way up to the side of his head, precious time is wasted. The contest is not only about long-distance shooting, but beating the clock. He might suffer because of the later. By contrast, Francisco Garcia has a more fundamentally sound release and quickly fires over his head. For that reason I'd probably rather have Cisco over Martin in a 3 pt shoot-out. Heck, maybe Brad Miller would be the best Kings choice for this 3 pt contest.

I noticed he got bigger. Injury or not, this team seems to look like they have made a pact to give it shot. Yes, he will be in an allstar if my vote have anythings to say about it.

Don't get me wrong, I love Kevin, and I will probably get some heat, but he is not an all star. He might rank as one of the best offensive players, but the rest of his game is not all star worthy imo. He HAS to get better in other aspects of his game not only to be considered an all star but in order to take this team to the next level. 20 2 and 2 are not all star numbers on a sub 500 team. Not to mention Kevin is not the best on the defensive side of the ball.

I do believe Kevin will make an all star team in the future and maybe even be a perenial all star. Until he takes the mantle of team leader (probably when Artest and Bibby are no longer wearing Kings uni's) and raises other aspects of his game the rest of the country and other coaches will not put him on the team for scoring 20-23 pts a game.

As much as I'd love to see Kevin as an All-Star, he's got quite a few obstacles: there are a lot of really good guards in the West; the Kings are mediocre; he missed so many games; the Kings have had 1 national game broadcast; he's not Chinese (;)).
