Also - he was competing with Joe Harris, Royce O’Neale, Kevin Durant, Yuta Wantanabe and a Morris brother for playing time. Not a great developmental opportunity in Brooklyn.

Draft pick, can be protected to never convey.
they're sending cash.My guess is Kash Considerations. He's been on the team forever.
Give so many wings a shot, that one has to not be horrible right?
Da'Quan Whoever will be the name for my next create a player.Da’Quan Whoever, that one hyper athletic guy before him, Louis King. One of these dudes are going to actually be good!
To make room on the roster for Edwards, the Kings will waive Deonte Burton, who was on a 10-day contract. Burton is expected to go back to the Stockton Kings.

You should create him to look like Ric Flair, and name him Daquan Wooooo!!!-Ever...Da'Quan Whoever will be the name for my next create a player.
Yeah the classic top 55 protected 2028 2nd round pick
The Kings have an open roster spot (Deonte Burton is on a 10 Day contract that can be ended early) and Edwards is on a minimum deal, so they can just take him in.

Kings will have to send somethng back to Nets: Either draft rights to a player or a top-55 protected second-rounder.
Had a surprisingly good rookie year, then what I'm trying to find out is why he never got back into the rotation this season. Started 23 games, 20 MPG last year, but nothing this year.
And I do recall he had a few stand-out games and has tremendous length on the wing. Think he's a developmental buy-low piece at a premium position as opposed to someone who can step in right away and help
You can always count on James Ham to tell us how to rest of the dust settles. To make room on the roster for Edwards, the Kings will waive Deonte Burton, who was on a 10-day contract. Burton is expected to go back to the Stockton Kings.

The quality reporting we've come to love.
Yeah, and behind KD, Simmons, and TJ Warren there is Yuta Watanabe (who's been shooting the lights out this season), the new Kyrie replacement Cam Thomas, Royce O'Neale, and the explosive rookie Day'Ron Sharpe.probably had more to do with more available Kevin Durant, Ben Simmons and TJ Warren. Brooklyn was a lot more patchwork last season if I remember

I know the sentiment here but I can't tell on twitter if the people who say stuff like "it isn't real until Ham confirms it" are suck-ups or having the same laugh we do.I wouldn’t make a thread until James Ham confirmed
All you really need to know is that there are two guys in the league right now with Kessler in their name, and he's theWho is Kessler Edward's?
I think Baja is going to like this move. He has been pretty high on Edwards since I can remember. His shooting at the NBA level has been awful this year, but it was OK last year and he was a good college scorer. I think as a bench piece he'll probably bring enough to warrant minutes. The question is about his defense - which might actually be pretty good. He was worth 0.9 DWS in 1000 minutes last year, which is a much better pace than Davion (0.6 DWS in 2000 minutes) and almost exactly the same rate as Okpala. Doesn't measure up to a Thybulle, but who does?
I wouldn't rule out Edwards working his way into bench minutes down the stretch as he gets adjusted to our offense, but it would seem likely that he'll start out in Stockton to learn the ropes.
Also - I like KZ as a role player, and I think Brown likes KZ, but acquiring Edwards does free up the possibility of using KZ as a salary throw-in for another trade. At the moment I don't see both guys getting real minutes simultaneously. If we do keep KZ through the trade deadline, there's probably a competition between Edwards and Okpala to see which one gets next year's option picked up. (Probably not both!)
