even bad Kings basketball is better than no Kings basketball.
so yes.
Amen brother!!!
(I see your from Portland, OR. I'm here in Spokane. Atleast we can see some new faces with the local NBA broadcasted teams!! )
even bad Kings basketball is better than no Kings basketball.
so yes.
Of course, because:
1) It's the Kings and it's basketball
2) Derrick Rose here we come!
I took the liberty of editing your poll so that the question matches what you're asking in your OP.
I am looking forward to the upcoming season for a variety of reasons:
1. No Eric Musselman.
2. Reggie Theus
3. Spencer Hawes
4. Justin Williams
5. A return to a faster-paced style of play.
6. Another season of Kings basketball.
7. More excitement from Kevin, Cisco and Quincy.
I am looking forward to the upcoming season. Sometimes people underestimate the effect changing the entire coaching staff can have on a team. We DID make a major move and I am looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

Took the words right out of my saltwater soaked mouth.
Plus I think Watkins, Williams and Moore will see considerable playing time and the rebounding and running game that goes with them. If they contribute then SAR/Miller/Thomas time goes down the drain. That I want to see!!!

I just miss basketball. Miss watching it, miss talking about it, miss analyzing (and overanalyzing it).
+1.
I cheered for LaSalle Thompson. I waited in line for Duane Causwell's autograph. Why would I not want this season to start?
Go Pings!
Can you find any proof of the kings sitting on their asses please? Because im pretty sure they have been active, pretty hard to get Rid of the Trash if the Trash man doesnt want to pick it up.Well...
Seeing Adelman mold what is suddenly a tremendously talented Rockets team should be fun.
And watching the HOF trio got to work in Boston could be epic.
And watching the development of all the young guns of the future Portland dynasty will be exciting.
And seeing JRich and Gerald recreate their dunk contest matchup on a nightly basis in Charlotte could be a blast.
And....oh....you meant the Kings after another wasted summer of sitting on their asses amid a middling pile of faded old vets???
Um...er...well...![]()
My words exactly...except i didnt post it yet. It's Kings basketball so yeah I am excited. Would I prefer to see a different team make up sure. But there ARE some young players that will be fun to watch and we get to see what New Coach guy can do that will be interesting.

well...
geoff petrie has said--on more than one occasion--that he is not actively shopping any player on the kings roster...
now...
maybe i'm misinterpreting this...
but it sounds to me like GP is sitting on his ***...
he says he's taking calls, but he's not making any calls...
if participating in the draft, hiring reggie theus to coach the kings, and signing the rather mediocre mikki moore to the MLE are bold and active moves for the future...well, then maybe my modest expectations are still too high. really, it looks exactly like last offseason to me, when the kings participated in the draft, hired eric musselman to coach the kings, and signed the rather mediocre john salmons to a bad contract.
there has rarely been a more severe case of sitting on one's ***. geoff petrie needs to start acting like the brilliant GM that the league still unanimously thinks he is. patience is one thing. complacence is something else entirely.

The moment Geoff says "I'm shopping these players and I want to get rid of them no matter what" is the moment I lose faith in him as a GM. That's the moment he pisses off that player and loses all his leverage. NO GM does their business like that.

Ouch! not disagreaing jsut smarting from the verbal slap all the way in Fresno!Geoff went out of his way to quit making stupid farm animal quips long enough to announce -- and he never announces ANYTHING -- that nobody was on the block. That Ron would be back. Mike was staying. Etc. It was gratutitous. Nothing had to be said at all. Meanwhile Reggie seems convinced that Brad is back. Of course given that this same GM went out of his way to opine that using your MLE every year would never get you anywhere, only to then turn around a week later and use his MLE again on an old scrub...maybe he's just completely full of it. Be a good thing actually. At this point we've reached the stage where the best hope for Geoff not being a burnout case is that he's a bald faced liar.
How can you possibly put LT's name and Duane(I've got to put the ball on the floor first) Causwell's name that close together. Its an insult to LT...
