Hey...about Mo Evans

Bench
I figured I'd ask you guys since you've seen him longer than anybody.

What's with Mo Evans? I figured he'd be a great slasher and defender, but I had no clue the guy could shoot threes so well. He's bee on fire since preseason, and I was wondering, does he consistently have this kind of range, or is he just on a hot streak?

Ah, now I know why the name is familiar. I see you at PacersDigest, right? As a visiting Pistons fan?

-----------------------------------

A lot of us hated to see Mo leave. He has that sweet shot from the corner that he loves, he'll play his heart out and he's one of the nicest guys you'd ever want to meet.

He doesn't shoot threes from anywhere on the court. It's just that corner, but if he's not guarded, he'll sink them from there all night.

Your team looks pretty durned good... I think Mo Evans will thrive with your type of play and I think Piston fans will come to appreciate him as much as a lot of us did.

Agreed, VF. I think the Pistons are especially suited for Mo Evans. They are athletic, quick, and active...all things you will find in Mo.

I'm astonished by how well we've played too, but its a long, long way to go. Nobody cares how you've played in November if you can't bring it in May and June.

The Flex offense (very similiar to what you guys run) has added a ton of excitement to watching the Pistons, but it reamins to be seen if this will mean wins at playoff time.

Enjoy Mo. He's one of the short-term Kings that I feel I'll end up missing the most.

Oh, and if you Piston fans need a nickname for him, feel free to use "Shark Bite." I'm still determined to get that to work.

Considering he plays in "Mo-Town" now, I think "Mo" suits him just fine :D

Our non-too-bright color guy and front office gopher, Jerry Reynolds, actually came up with a pretty good one for him last year: High-5 (after his number and his hops obviously). It was cute and not at all bad for a guy who wanders aorund spewing crap like "Peja Vu" an "Bibbalicious".

Bu my advice to you is to use GGG's suggestion. Don't let the avatar fool you -- she's meaner than she looks. :p

running away and hiding now...

HAHAHAH I almost fell out of my chair with that comment Brick.

I have been saying the same thing for years. While I like the man from French Lick, his commentary on games just kills me.

I think Mo would/is great in general for any team. He's great for us like he is for the Pistons, only with bit more PT, and an improved jumpshot. He just wanted too much money when he changed his mind in late July, sadly. It was either him and someone like Reggie Evans (which I would of been ok with), or SAR.

Mo started getting consistency with his three-pointer in February.
