Sunday afternoon games are often lacking in energy. The only thing worse used to be the Sunday morning games when we wanted to give Vlade a coffee IV...
 
Another interesting bit about this game is I can't remember the Kings playing that much zone this early in a game. I'm not a huge fan of relying on zone defense because it eventually bites you but it's working right now outside of giving up offensive boards.

Just the fact we saw a recognizable defensive scheme is impressive, no?

In other news, Drew Gooden draining jumpers is weird.
 
Absolutely giddy about seeing them running plays designed specifically for JT. :)
 
I wish we had better defense from our SG's. They hustle, but playing good smart defense is something else
 
As an aside, I do not like the terminology shift to "season ticket member" instead of "season ticket holder."
 
I'm seeing a lot more composure on the part of the Kings. They aren't anywhere near as frenetic as they were during the road trip. Methinks giving Karl some time to work his magic during the practices is beginning to pay off just a tad.
 
I do not like the "Try to go to the free throw line less, makes us go slower" approach.

Maybe that's why I'm not a 1000+ win coach in the NBA.
 
Oh please. Reggie does some nasty things - that was not one of them. And the screen wasn't that wicked. BRAD MILLER set wicked screens. ;)

Actually I totally agree with the concept of NOT playing to try and draw the foul all the time.
 
Pierce should be ejected. That was disgusting. I certainly hope that little girl is okay.

Don't constantly jump directly into your defender hoping for free throws, I agree with. On the other hand, If your stars game involves getting hacked and getting to the line a lot, so be it. Take your free throws, pace he damned.

I guess you and I heard Karl differently. I don't think he was in any way talking about DMC getting hacked and getting to the line, which to my mind is not something DMC has control of anyway.
