What history does Rudy have in his NBA career in winning games? When has he shown any leadership skills that even remotely align with his basketball skills? Has he ever shown the willingness to make his teammates better?

Memphis and Toronto both became vastly better teams that played team basketball once they got rid of Rudy. That is a blatant fact not an opinion.
Yet it's also true Memphis got better almost every year he was there.

Green has yet to score on Williams. He hit a three on a switch (I think it was Collison) and the others were when Williams was out of the game.
Green and Barnes combined for, like, eight points before Williams was subbed out; I checked the play-by-play. So, you're telling me that Williams wasn't guarding either one of them?

Rudy is not the villain here. What we're seeing is a group of guys - you cannot even call them a team any more - trying to play a game with no real direction from their coach, who apparently will not step up for his players under any circumstances. He can toss buzz words and company phrases with the best of them, but it's pretty clear to anyone with eyes that Corbin has no real concept of what a head coach should do.

Lol, that's quite a misrepresentation of reality you're promoting there. You're going to have dig a bit deeper to understand the real picture, which is not something I'm about to take time out from watching this game to explain.

Per G-Man, Thompson has passed Lasalle Thompson for fourth in the Sacramento-era for blocked shots.
Similar mostly below the rim big men. Both centers with of course, JT mostly at PF. LaSalle was better player overall IMO - saw him play many games at ARCO 1 and ARCO II. Also LT never spent half the game shaking his head in stupid frustration, never whined constantly to officials and in general never for a second looked weak and hopeless like silly JT.

Contender better? Why'd they get rid of him for essentially nothing?

He's been traded twice in his career for junk players that should tell you something. Up until a couple months ago I liked the Rudy trade and it's a trade that still was worth it considering what they gave up.....but the more I watch Rudy the more I see that he is a player that hinders winning.

PS: Did I not mention to not be surprised if they play better once he left the game? Close game at half......

Let's not pretend that Memphis was a lottery team while Gay was there. They may have gotten better after he left, but they were still a playoff team while he was there. All evidence points to Toronto being the aberration.
