How sad again to see in this first mock draft that again a solid player such as DJ Augustin is picked right in front of us... sure i think he gets picked sooner than 11th... but theres no more depressing way to start the mock drafts than to be just one pick away from a great player.

Thanks Reggie !

now Petrie... Make the best out of this mess !

You make three assumptions that are questionable to say the least:

1.) That ANY mock draft is worth toilet paper, including ESPN's.

2.) That tiny-little DJ Augustin will be a great player or even a solid NBA player. Doesn't strike me as another Tiny Archibald or even close.

3.) That Coach Reggie Theus is somehow deserving all blame.

Depressing is what you chose right now and maybe later once the Kings make their selection we'll all join the blues chorus. I think there may be some effort to move up in the draft, or move down for more picks, still make a big trade (Artest?).

how i wish gallinari would fall into our laps but i doubt it... hes getting too much hype

but if he does... that means we have an option to trade a SF right... who would it be then?? artest or garcia?

garcia is a good leader id rather keep him

id pick a servicable big man over a small point guard.... he may be good but there is still that question of how he can guard taller guards... right now the average guard is 6'2 or more.. i dont want to get owned by the clippers when Shaun livingston gets back :P 6"7 vs a 5"11 wth?

Well, according to Chad Ford (take it for what it's worth), the Heat may be looking to trade their pick if the Bulls take Rose...so, Artest, Miller, Maybe a resigned Beno for Beasley? We'd obviously have to take back a lot of crap in return, but the Heat would have a lot of talent (and Egos).

Their starting lineup: Beno/Williams, Wade, Artest, Marion, Miller

if we can get dorrel wright from the heat then im happy

If we can get the trade he suggested I'd dance in the streets (we won't get that one let alone one with Wright included), we don't have enough on our roster to trade with Miami fo the #2 pick (not even Kmart lands the #2). I know there will be piles of elaborate trades since Riles was playing coy, but the Kings roster is nealy as untradeable as the Knicks at the moment and we certainly don't have enough to land a franchise changing player.

I think the Heat are actually looking to rebuild the right way ... not take 3/5 of a mediocre team's starting roster for a potential franchise player.
