Cousins pg was Wall/Bledsoe
IT or Collison? Well, let's not pretend that Collison, who has been known to shoot too much, is some sort of great sea change from IT. But what I think he does do is deepens the PG pool this summer which gives us more control of the IT situation/what we will pay there, because there will be legitimate options available who can fill the slot.
Wasn't Collison the PG to Cousins in college?
Role players? Yeah, you have quality players that do different things (roles) at different positions. That's what a team is. We're not going to have a starting 5 in which all are legitimate All Stars. No team does. Not Miami, nor the Spurs
The constant growing pains have become old and tiresome. The front office knows it and will make an effort to put a competitive team on the floor for this next season
Wall was the PG at Kentucky when Cousins was there.
Man, Nikolizzle admitted the error several days ago but you guys all keep piling on!![]()
`ahhh duhhh.. I should have known that. Teague was the year after then right?
I don't think so... I think his name was John,... something....?
On paper it sounds good. Collison is a decent to good defender that has put up solid numbers every year. I believe his career assist numbers are around 5 a game, and he's a solid shooter averaging around 46% overall for his career and around 37% from the three. While those numbers aren't earth shattering, they're not bad considering that his 3 pt average would put him as one of the leaders on the Kings, pre-Stauskas. And also considering, he's never really had a chance to stay in one place long enough to get familiar with his teammates and build up some chemistry. We may have overpaid for him, but if he turns out to be what were looking for, who cares? I'm sure since he's a UCLA guy, the Capt will like this deal.
Edit: By the way, he'll turn 27 years old in august. So were getting him in his prime.

But is he a Pizza Guy?
How do people call Collison a good defender?
He's the same level defender as IT is, IE, not all that good.
Crystal clear downgrade over IT at the PG position, if this is really it and there are no additional moves to be made at the PG spot.
same level defender? most pgs scored over their average against IT last year. ask kemba walker who he would want defening him IT or DCHow do people call Collison a good defender?

If not same then slightly better - which is still below average. My point here is that this isn't an upgrade at all and that what people talk about as far as what he'll bring to the team (running a team, playing defense) are aspects of the game that he's just not very good at.
ppl talk about upgrade this upgrade that... this is about fit and scheme.. mike malone is a defensive coach.. hell we need defense... period everybody knows that... i like IT but good god if we want to rid its not about being likeable its about winning.. and you win with defense

Collison is not a defensive whiz. I think the FO is depending on Malone to make a silk purse out of a cow's ear. They have yet to acquire a player known for his defense except for the brief moment we had Mbah a Moute.
Attention Haters:
I know you guys love the little cute Pizza guy.
