Well, it seems a bit quite here again. So I browsed a few team's roster for a possible trade with the Kings. Then I saw the Clippers, which seems to be stocking up some bigs. They already have Griffin, Camby, Jordan, Kaman, plus they just added Smith and Madsen. All these guys are still pretty capable of even logging solid 20mins per game. But I doubt it'll be managed evenly. So I would like to dig up again a possible trade to get Kaman from them. Through K9+Donte (it works... http://www.realgm.com/src_checktrade.php?tradeid=5234256 )
So why would the Clips to this? We'll of all the big men they have, Kaman has the longest and most expensive contract. But the presence of Camby and Jordan and now Griffin, Madsen, and Smith at a much cheaper price, he just became expendable. Getting K9's expiring contract would make them the one biggest FA player for 2010, without losing their young Nucleus of Griffin, Gordon, Thornton and Jordan. Plus they would still have Baron Davis under contract. Donte would be the cream of the trade bring with a huge but still raw potential to be a great basketball player.
Why would the Kings do this? We'll maybe because were still a legit big man away from being considered a legit team again in the NBA? Kaman with Hawes, JT, and May is a pretty good frontline if all comes in healthy and at the top of their game every night.
Possible depth chart:
C - Hawes/Kaman/Thompson
PF - Thompson/May/Nocioni
SF - Nocioni/Casspi/Garcia
SG- Martin/Garcia/Evans
PG - Evans/Udrih/Rodriguez
