Badly? realy?

I must say i'm only talking on paper so I have no real clue here.

But Israel basicly play fast and uptempo, we're a SF/PF team, but we ain't got some real bodies down low, so mainly cause of Andrea B I say you're better, cuase we just can't handle him.

Anyways Casspi so far is said to be looking great, was the leading scorer of the half in the training match against Belgium with 12 points, said he looks really determined and is jumping on loose balls all over the place and really leading the way.

Israel leads 42-16 at the half :D

Last time I saw Italy play they were a total wreck, Bargnani included, they lost even against Finland. If Gallinari plays and is in shape it's going to be a different story though. We also have a new and way better coach so things may change but i'm not too optmistic about it.

It's good to see Casspi dropping points just like he did in December, and lol I'm stupid. It looks like he got a bunch of those points by letting the game come to him too, which is also refreshing.

Err #13 has been Casspi's number before he got to the Kings. He has worn #13 for both his team and his country before so I hardly call it Tyreke's number.

Who is #9 for Israel in the highlight video? Is Omri #9 and #13 for some reason? I found this here, and not only is this either Omri or Omri's twin, but the caption says it's Casspi. Now I'm confused. Can someone clear this up for me?

I was at the game last night and i must say Casspi looks great, he takes the ball and no one can stop him, He play great defence either.

anywayz, those are practice matches, the numbers the players play in it might not be the bumners they will play at the eurobasket.

I stoped watching at the halftime and no one mentioned how much he ended up with, but he had 5 steals at the half aswell.

Seems more confident handling the ball and creating plays for himself.

What is the schedule for Israel games and where can we watch the games here in USA?

I'll try get them for ya m8.

Btw Omri is putting on a show right now against the UK as Israel won 86-82... him and some other guy(Mensah Bonso - he's around 6.9 and a half, i'd say like 240 pounds PF) are going at eachother like 6 minutes now back and forth in the 4th quarter :D

It's amazing the diffrence between here and the NBA.. Omri first step and how easy he's penetrating to the basket is really huge here, i'm glad it helps him work on his game... his handle seems really better btw.. he just does everything on the floor, was a leader on defence (he took that PF on the low post everytime and held his own - even tho he took one massive dunk after that guy spin on him :D), and just looked fantastic really.

27 points, 5 blocks, 3 steals with 10/14 from the field, and I missed how much assists and rebounds he had, but i'm sure it's like 5 each.

Yeah, I remember this guy, Pops is his name. I watched him a bit when he played in college and with the Mavs a few different times. He's a pretty strong dude. Casspi really is fearless! hahaha.

omg it's Pops Mensa Bonsu! I think he's one of those players who are only good for rebounds in the NBA. Kind of like Reggie Evans. But I think he was a fan favorite in Toronto.

Anyway the highlights were kind of blurry, but I think I saw Casspi throw a perfect entry pass down a guy who was being double teamed. If he does that with Cousins this year, he's going to get a lot of good shots for himself.

Typical Casspi. Ugliest turnover you've ever seen followed by a technical foul. I want to see what Bargsypoo can do in the post. He can take a double team to school!

Lol Italy blew a layup.

Great cut by Casspi and great finish. Great catch too. And rebound. :D

Bargs needs to get better position and use a hook shot.... and learn how to rebound. He just blew a defensive free throw rebound. Watching him try to rebound is lol.

Belinelli has an electric first step, he's just blowing by everybody. Good passing and vision... too bad he doesn't play defense.

Good defense by Casspi, and way to not give up on the play.

Belinelli got shut down on that possession.

Lol at that Bargnani flop.

Bargs getting tripled teamed when he touches the ball. Belinelli dunking on Israel.

Bargnani is clutch. Sadly they hardly gave him the ball in clutch situations.. that'll change now that Bosh is gone.

israel 79. Italy 71. Game Aug 2
Omri plays 22 min getting only 9 pts but Israeli team looking good. David Blumenthal from USC and Kings summer league team 3 yr ago (???) was big contributor. They pretty much held Barghani and Belinelli down as neither of them played much defense. Full article here:

Bluthental, it was 6 years ago, after the 2003/04 season ended, he played for the kings at the summer league and i think he signed a contract, but was cut before the season started.

David Blumenthal Played on 2003\04 at Maccabi Tel-Aviv at Israel and help us win the Euroleague though, in the summer after that season he played at the Kings summer league team and signed a contract.. donnu what happend next but today Blumenthal is still playin in Maccabi.

By the way, The next game of israel is on Sunday 10:30 AM in PST time. its the first Home game and preety hard one and Casspi might play alot of minutes, you should watch the games in the link i gave before.
