Bosh asks fans where he should go

I don't want to get into a defense posture about Thompson. He has a lot of improving to do. And yes he does get doubled in the post at times. Thats part of his problem. He doesn't recognize the double and tries to force the shot up anyway. As far as how he gets his points, I really don't care. If a guy can score me 17 a game and the other team doesn't want to defend him, all the better. I'd also like to point out that Amare gets most of his points off dunks from feeds and from his little 15 foot jumper. I don't see much of difference there, other than Amare is just more proficient. Thompson may not ever reach that level of proficiency, but if he can just get to 17 or 18 points and 10 boards, then he a valuable player.
 
Bosh was well headed toward being an impact player by year 2 -- he was pretty much at Aldridge's level (17pts 9rebs 1.4blks). And year 2 for him was age 20. And then by year three (age 21) he was already Chris Bosh as we have known him for 5 years now. 22-23 and 9-10 or so.

In the last full game Chris Bosh played this year before getting hurt, he put up 42pts 13rebs 5stl and a block. The game before that was 28pts 12reb 7ast. The game before that 34pts 11reb 3blks. For people to expect that JT is ever going to be that sort of player, in a year, 3 years, 5 years, or 20 years, is just folly.

I was actually pretty happy with how much more settled Jason seemed off the bench after what turned out to be his fortuitous injury. Maybe that's the role that's right for him. Superstar goto guy = not happening.

Actually bajaden, my stat comment wasn't referring to you. I really respect your knowledge for the game and I know that you know that Thompson can be a fine player and even if he averaged what bosh averaged that he isn't in the same impact category as the beat PF's in the game.

I really try an be objective about players. I've pointed out the things I like about Thompson and I've also pointed out the the things he needs to work on. And I'm willing to have a discussion with anyone thats willing to be objective and fair. You post things as though everything is just cut and dry and thats the end of it. All you do is criticize without acknowledging any impovements he may have made. You don't even know what basketball IQ is. There is a distinct difference between knowing what to do and doing it. The NBA is littered with coaches that have great basketball IQ, but they didn't have the athletic ability to match.

I'm done with Thompson. I'm done with Hawes, or any other player on the team. Just bash them a much as you want. Have all the fun you want. From now on, the only opinion I'll give is on college players. Period!!!

I think you better figure out what IQ is. Then you might understand basketball IQ. If Thompson keeps doing the same stupid things over and over again, what do call that - high basketball IQ? If you read my post, I'm leaving the book open on Thompson, and despite what you say, I haven't made my mind up. But if I see a continuation of his same ol same ol errors next year, then yes, I will have made up my mind.

$20M a year is a lot of money, but not living in Oklahoma is priceless.

They shoulda left that team in Seattle, which is only ugly during rush hour.

Then again, the Jazz have been a viable team for a long time, despite having relocated to Utah. And gorgeous Vancouver couldn't even keep a franchise afloat. Never can tell about those things.
 
Vancouver was a terribly mismanaged team with an abysmal record in hockey land I think their failure was a foregone conclusion. I'm surprised that Toronto has managed to survive as long as they have though they are like a hydra, each time their star player bolts a new one springs up and takes his place for a few years.

Having been to Salt Lake City, and also Oklahoma City, I would much rather be in Salt lake City. At least the view is nice. . If you want to see a hill in Oklahoma, you have to build one first. Now the night life is another story altogether..

Kingster, I'm not going to comment on your statement. Lets just say that I have a fairly high IQ, so I think I know what it means. My wife has a higher one at 147. I can also say that based on our combined IQ's, we should both be considered failures in life where personal accomplishments are concerned. I've always liked you and I dont' want to get into a pissing contest with you. I've reached a point in my life where time is too precious to waste it on fruitless arguments. So you have a nice day!..

Being Canadian, it sucks that Vancouver didn't pan out, especially since Memphis has been at least respectable since. But Toronto is a huge city, I'm sure they'll be able to maintain a fairly steady fan base. But to be honest, Bosh leaving does worry me a little, even though I live nowhere near Toronto.

What does either have to do with the Grizzlies? I wasn't knocking Vancouver (a city I really like) or the Canucks (a team I have a soft spot for, but wouldn't myself a fan - DEFINITELY rooted for them in 1994 though).

Know what? I think we're on the same page. It is just that I can swallow the truth that Cuban is a lot better than Petrie/Maloofs in handling their team, and you cannot without adding a grain of salt. The result/proof ( team performance for the last decade ) is right on our faces.

If you cannot accept the above FACT straight up, and if you cannot accept the fact that it was NOT A COLOSSAL MISTAKE to let go of Nash because the result was they reached the NBA FINALS after the move, then I just have to be nice and say I admire you for that because that tells me indirectly you are truly a Kings Fan to the bone.

Or, I'll just put it this way. We are BOTH CORRECT depending on one's perspective. Now, we should go back to discussing where Bosh should go.:)

Bosh should go to the Heat. Bosh and Wade is a top 4 team in the east and with a couple pieces a championship contender. Out of all the big free agents this summer I think Bosh is the only one who is going to jump ship, just not to the Kings unfortunately.

What about playing second fiddle to Wade? I thought we have established that Bosh could quite possibly have an IQ which is half that of , which even then might be giving him too much credit. I would have to agree with most here, in that it is definitely worth a shot, but I probably have a better chance at winning the mega ball then C-Bosh signing with the Kings. The thought of Bosh, Cousins, Greene, Beno and Evans is enticing to say the least though. Heck throw in a solid 2 from free agency like Joe Johnson (or a 2 from 2011 offseason perhaps) and you have a scary lineup.

I mean comon now Bosh, the last time a premier PF came to the Kings, he cried to his papa and almost did not show up to practice. But then with the help of a great team, good coach, and the best fans in the league, things got a lot better in a hurry. I don't know though, when I saw Brick say he just might be dumb, I thought, damn it, this might just be the case. As Brick pointed out with some recent monstrous games, Bosh is the man, but there is just something about him I have never liked, can't put my finger on it. Oh well, there is always Derrick Favors, who I have heard touted as the next KG (ish).

Bosh was shown sitting in the Staples Center last night for the Lakers-Jazz playoff game. It would be illegal for the Lakers to sign yet another big man wouldn't it?

Have we, really? Can I still argue against it? Because it seems like nonsense to me. To be more accurate, Bosh has always struck me as one of the smarter players this league has to offer and I don't think Bricklayer has suggested that he actually is dumb. His is only a hypothetical scenario in which Bosh is arrogant and ego-centric enough to want to be "the man" of a team (which I don't believe is the case) and stupid enough not to see that Tyreke is "the man" here.

If Bosh actually were stupid, he would stay in Toronto. Don't get me wrong, Toronto is beautiful and everything, but the franchise has consistently screwed up in their decisions, up to the point where it would need more than just a minor miracle for them to be in the playoffs, let alone win anything meaningful. However, he has basically endless options, of which Sacramento, as much as the team is on an upswing, is among the lesser ones.

Yah I know it was a scenario, just a little bitter that there is no way no how he comes here. That "hell no" closed the case for me, and i am not calling Bosh Forest Gump or anything, and I am sure he is a bright guy, but I guess the homer in me wants him to see the light, and that he would be a good fit here in Sac. Add him and a couple of other pieces and we are back in the postseason IMO. It is easier to dog on him and be bitter then accept he is not coming here, you really don't think about all the intangibles when you are a kid, I really wish we didn't have this cow-town small market label on us, because there really are people dumb enough to write us off because of BS like that.
 
Dunno, I don't think too many free agents really care too much about it. Far as I see it, motivational factor number one is money (just as is motivational factor 2-15 or so), then comes perspective for oneself on the team (how great is the opportunity to play meaningful minutes and put up big numbers, which can then be parlayed into a new contract), the perspective of the team itself and then, somewhere down the line, how good is the city itself. Since Bosh can get the max basically anywhere and will play meaningful minutes basically anywhere, his focus should be on what team would be the most succesful one with him. There, I think Sacramento still has some ways to go, since the team still needs to figure out where they'll get a defensive centre and has still a lot of development to go through.

Good points, I think that is an accurate description of FA priorities, and sounds like Bosh really does need to ask himself how he feels about the Kings organization and where he sees it going. All I know is that if we had Bosh, we would definitely have two Kings representing the West at next years all star weekend. Heck we would probably have Reke, Casspi, and Wall/Turner/Cousins/Favors rep us in the Rookie-Soph game too, no doubt about it.
