1. How does Deng arrive in Los Angeles without leaving Chicago?
2. If Chicago wouldn't give up Deng for Bryant straight up, why would they give him up to take Bryant and Kenny F. Thomas?
Heh, oops. Deng is there, I just forgot to type his name in.
If Chicago wouldn't trade Luol Deng for the best player in the game right now then they are idiots. I don't know where you heard that but it seems kinda blasphemous. And it is not like they would be trading Deng to get Bryant and KT. They would be trading Hinrich and Gordon for Bryant and Farmar, and they would be trading Wallace and Khryapa for Miller and Thomas. One is lopsided for and the other is lopsided against. But they have the depth to compensate for Miller and Thomas' shortcomings. I've already reasoned why it wouldn't be
too bad to take on Thomas and Miller, but here it is again:
- Miller and Thomas could see higher production in the East.
- Miller gives them more offense other than Kobe and Ty.Thomas can make up for Miller's lack of everything.
- Kenny will be playing for a team with a legit shot at the title, so he won't cause much rucus.
- Kobe's contract is for 3 more years, so contractually they will have a team that will be competitive for the next 3 years and they will have a bunch of money to work with when the contracts are up.
- They can afford to lose Deng because they have Niocioni inked for 5 years.
