No "If Bibby/Miller/Thomas/etc. steps up we'll have a shot at winning."
No "If Adelman doesn't make any stupid decisions we'll have a shot at winning."
No "If Artest can conatin Ginobili we'll have a shot at winning"

Whether you believe someone will step up or if nothing will happen or whatever, do you think the Kings will win the series at this point?

Nah. I know the Kings'll win on Friday but it'll probably be Spurs in seven, realistically.

WILL win? Probably not.

COULD win? Of course. But it means having to tkae care of business and then pull off on of the toughest tasks in the NBA -- winning a Game 7 on the road.

Odds are very much stacked against us.

Can't let myself say that a series win is a definite yes, but I'm not as close to a definite no as I was a few games ago.

I have that feeling that they could, but I won't be the least bit surprised if they don't.

I'm not even worried about this year, I'm worried that Bonzi, Ron, or both may not come back next year.......:( I'm really hoping and wishing that they do.

I really think the Kings need those two next year for a great season.

I think we win Game 6 to even things up, and then set the stage for yet another Game 7 on the road. Lord knows we eventually have to win one of those...

Regardless- I am damn proud of these guys!

I remember hearing something from Grant about how the home team wins more than 80% of Game 7s, and I seem to recall losing one of those at Arco to the Lakers :(

Maybe it's time for us to do it to someone else for a change

we blew our chance to win the series by not closing out game 2.

if we had hung on, game 6 up 3-2 at arco, no doubt we;d win.

now we have to win game 6 at home and game 7 IN san antonio. highly unlikely

this game had alot of pressure, not quite a game 7 but it definitly tested the team a little.

My prediction:
If the kings win on friday, they will win the series

It's a game of adjustments at this point. The Spurs have no adjustment for Bonzi. Artest will likely give Manu more space and make him hit outside shots. The Kings will have to rotate back to the basket better or they will be riding pine. The Kings will try to find a way to get Bibby going.

I think we'll win the next one and unfortunately lose game 7.

I'd love to win the next 2, but history shows it's a monumental task indeed.

Keep it in mind that we will have to win an away game in order to win this series while they don't.....

by the way, I'm finally back for whoever remember me from way back... was kinda abandoned the team when they traded C-Webb and Peja but I officially "joined back the bandwagon"... haha

Go team go!

I believe Bonzi will still step up strong. I believe Artest's tremendous defense just took a rest this game 5 for tanking up for Game 6 and Game 7. I believe Adelman is a better coach than Pop. I believe Bibby will retain his SUPER form. I believe Martin will score good against SA the next 2 games. I believe that the Sacramento Kings will face Detroit Pistons this June.

I know Bonzi is a free agent and may not come back next year, but Ron is still under contract and unless he goes really nuts, he will be in a Sacramento Kings uniform next season. I hope he now understands that basketball is his top priority and is serious about it.

Given our history in game 7s, it's not likely but as long as we're still playing, I have hope. Considering how close we were last night and how bad several of our players were. If they could just step up, we can do it. the question is how bad do they want it?

friday is not guaranteed people, i dont think san antonio really wants a game 7.....with that said, kings gotta come out and play real strong during game 6, they should have a good chance at winning

I honestly think the Kings will win.

Game 6, for me, is a win already. If it's not then you guys know the Kings will have to have given it away.

So once the Kings win game 6... going back to San Antonio where you have been so close twice, should be a day at the office.

The Kings are DUE to win in San Antonio. They are the best matchup for them.

Besides... I'm not tuning in to watch a loss.

Miller better find his sack asap though

I don't think we'll win the series...in my head. My heart says YOU BET!!! But...realistically...probably not. As many of the other posters on this tread have said, though...I am TOTALLY excited about next season. If we can keep these guys together...no telling what we could do. It's been a great ride this season...

The thing is we are just balancing on a razor's edge here. Bonzi Wells has played absolutely out of his mind. Out of anybody's mind. And we are still down 3-2. We are asking him to put up superstar performance after superstar performance just to keep us within striking distance of the world champs. Only problem being he's not a superstar. If he comes down to earth at all -- even just to a normally strong 18pt 8reb type level, we are suddenly going to need all kinds of people who have not stepped up all series to do so.

This is possible, but everything has to go just perfectly.

I'm so fed up with Miller at this point - sure the guy has talent from the jump shots etc. (WHEN HE ACTUALLY BELIEVES IN HIMSELF) but this is the softest center I've seen in the league when it comes to defense. I'm tired of Miller, I want him out!

I agree about Wells- we ahve relied on him so much. Even an average game from him and we are in trouble. But we have also gotten little to nothing out of Miller, Bibby, KT, SAR. Just an average game from two of them and we can win just as easily.

I voted no, but that doesn't mean I don't think they CAN. Probably won't.

I foresee another Game 7 loss, unfortunately. It would really blow if we lost at ARCO, though. Even if we lose a Game 7, I can take heart in the faces of Spurs fans as they chew their nails off and pull their hair out when the game is close.

HCA is an advantage for a reason...hopefully we can be back at that level next year.
