I think they'll win Friday--I had mentioned in an earlier thread that this is looking like one of the great series where the home team is the favorite in every game. On the half-empty side, it's going to be tough for a game 7 in SA, no doubt. On the half-full side, Sac has played SA tough every game, and maybe we're due a road win. If it wasn't possible, the teams wouldn't spend the money to have a game 7.

Highly unlikely the Kings can win the next two. Not impossible. But very unlikely. Game 6 is achievable. Game 7 is entirely another story.

WILL win? Probably not.

COULD win? Of course. But it means having to tkae care of business and then pull off on of the toughest tasks in the NBA -- winning a Game 7 on the road.

to the defending champion San Antonio Spurs, who knocked off the Detroit Pistons in a Game 7 situation last year.

I'm saying no.

But you better believe that we can win. i.e. we have the talent, the matchup problems, the fearless attitude. We can win if we repeatedly ignore history (ours and the NBA's Game 7s) and truly, truly believe that we're destined to win, despite the experts, the oddsmakers, the fans, and the Spurs. It's just that that state of mind is very damn hard to achieve, particularly for anyone with a solid foundation of realism. And yes, even Ron Artest has some sense of realism... I think.

i like to think that they can take it. However, they most likely won't win it. Having said that, I hope the series goes to game 7and I am very proud to see the Kings put up a fight. I know there are plenty of people who tought Spurs would walk all over us.....

this weekend will be a time of question. game 6 on friday and game 7 (if neccessary) on sunday. monday morning the kings will either be in the 2nd round or be home. that's drama.

though i would love to be wrong, i voted no. i have to be realistic. these guys have impressed me with their heart and desire but if this goes 7 in SA i dont see it happening. heres hoping my gut feeling is wrong.

I think Kings will win the Game 6 and 7 if Adelman freeze the Hart on the bench. Once Hart is put into the court, he did not play as a point guard as the style this team used to. The tempo of the game became unusual and the linking of each guy on the court is less and less. Maybe hart is good, and maybe not, at least he is really not fit into our lineup. Once Bibby is on the bench, Garcia could provide some 10~15 mins to organize the offence, it's much better to make some turnovers but without any Kings offence (what Hart did...).
Even Artest plays the role as a point guard is much better than Hart in this position. But I think he should put his focus on the defending Manu/Finely to make the game more physical with his strong body on the both end of the court.
Just save Bibby's energy more and wait the chance to let him burst in the BIG time.

Two things need to happen. The Kings obviously need to win at home. But on the road

1.Brad Miller needs to show at least SOME effort out there. He has just been unbelievably ineffective, slow, and barely showing any heart out there at all. He just stares at guys while they go to the basket.

2.The Kings can't collapse down the stretch. It happened in game 2, and it happened in game 5. Both times the Kings had the lead or a tie late in the fourth, and end up losing bad.

The odds of the Kings winning this series are roughly equal to the odds of Brad Miller playing two consecutive games at a 90-percent level, perhaps 20-10-5. I am not holding my breath.

I believe Bonzi will still step up strong. I believe Artest's tremendous defense just took a rest this game 5 for tanking up for Game 6 and Game 7. I believe Adelman is a better coach than Pop. I believe Bibby will retain his SUPER form. I believe Martin will score good against SA the next 2 games. I believe that the Sacramento Kings will face Detroit Pistons this June.
And this my fellow fans is the only attitude any of us should have. Our jobs as fans of the Sacramento Kings is to believe until there is nothing left to believe in. It is this same never die attitude that everyone of our players is going to have to have to win this series and the championship this year. Maybe it is time for all of us to incorporate this same attitude and show this team that we flat out believe just like they do! There is no state of panic in the locker room at Arco. They know they can play with the Spurs, and they believe they can be Crowned the Champs, and so do I. SACRAMENTO KINGS..2005-2006 World Champions!!!!!!!!

Word.

Especially right now. We'll have the whole TDOS to dissect and analyze the season, the playoffs, etc.

yeah 80% of the the home team wins Game

74% of the teams dont even up to 2-2 when done 2-0

before the 2004 red sox 100% of teams down 3-0 lose

what this means these are meaningless statistics

which Grant NApear only uses as a time filler

how often does a 3 point shot bounce off the back board and rim and go in

YES because I am determined to still believe in miracles!

When it comes to the Kings, I have rarely been accused of being realistic or rational, so why start now?

I HONESTLY believe that we have the talent and determination to win. It will not be easy, but it is possible.

Believe until we hold the trophy OR hear the final buzzer, then I will start believing in next season!:D

The thing is we are just balancing on a razor's edge here. Bonzi Wells has played absolutely out of his mind. Out of anybody's mind. And we are still down 3-2. We are asking him to put up superstar performance after superstar performance just to keep us within striking distance of the world champs. Only problem being he's not a superstar. If he comes down to earth at all -- even just to a normally strong 18pt 8reb type level, we are suddenly going to need all kinds of people who have not stepped up all series to do so.

This is possible, but everything has to go just perfectly.

Even with Bonzi playing out of his mind like he has been doing in the series....we still need Bibby and Miller to step up and have big games as do the other Kings players. I cannot believe we are as in it as we are with how bad Bibby and Miller have played thus far. It really sucks we didn't win Game 2 because now Game 6 we'd be ready to wrap up the series. We absolutely have to sign Bonzi to a big contract, he and Artest are scary together and with the athletic rebounding/shot blocking PF/C that we all agree we need we will have a great team next year. Heck we would have been a 1-4 seeded team right now if we had Ron the entire season. We are still 1 superstar away from going to the top, we need a Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett type PF/C and we are going to be challenging for the top spot for years to come, easier said than done, but we know what we need.....now let's just get it. :-)

If we win game 6, like I think we will, we are going to really have SA on their heels. We will have proved that we will not go quietly and have a great chance of stealing Game 7. There is a reason that top seeded teams win the series. Besides having a 4-3 advantage in home games, the 2 home games, 2 away games, 1 home, 1 away, 1 home makes it very hard for the team with 3 home games from getting a lot of momentum, it is designed for the team with 4 home games to get the advantage with winning their homes games and the team with 3 home games to playing catch up. We have done awesome in this series and have nothing to be ashamed about. We are very close from going all the way, probably not this year, but soon if we pull off a few wise trades and improve our interior and bench. It's been a fun ride, thanks Ron for making us believe.

I still believe that we can win this thing. Do I expect to win this series? No, but I wouldn't mind being surprised. All we need is for everyone to step up, and I mean EVERYBODY. This is crunch time, boys, win or go home. Your choice.

Okay....we are not going to be beaten at Arco.

No way, no how.

Spurs will choke in game 7. Kings can do this!

We can and we will. We have given the Spurs a run for their $ and should won Game 2 - 5. Since we didn't win Game 2 or 5, we have to take care of business at home in Game 6 and a big Game 7. The Spurs really have their backs against the wall if they lose Game 6 in Sacto because we are the underdogs and the pressure is all on them. They will have their fans cheering for them, which really helps them as most any home team, but we will be the ones to spoil that and sneak away with a win in Game 7. GO KINGS!!! :D

I voted yes because I think the Arco crowd will push us to this Game 6 victory, and we've beaten the Spurs in SA this year, so Game 7 will be a great game with a Kings victory. However, I'm not getting my hopes up.
