My own thoughts? It's a pretty nice asset, and they're clearly a piece or two away from being a championship team. They'll assume they can hold on to Deron long term, but Boozer will probably walk so they'll need to bring in some talent - this pick may be the easiest way to do it.
They may well trade it, but if I were in charge my inclination would be to keep it barring a great deal. I wouldn't want to use it to dump a bad contract. But that's me.

As much as I would love the Kings to end up with that pick, I have to agree with you. They may not get a superstar with it, but they would have a great chance at aquiring a very solid NBA player, and perhaps even a star. However, they are in financial hell right now, so who know what they might do?
