what about signing Kyrylo Fesenko?

what about this guy we can sign him cheap like say 3 mil for 2 years have him back up at the big man spot...

cause we should try as much as possible splurging 5 mil 5 year contracts or heaven forbid 13 mil 4 year contracts to guys like Diogu and boozer respectively

other than that.. who else can we sign for a possible back up bigman?

Is he a FA?

I prefer re-signing Diogu if we don't use our 1st pick on a big man though. We're already semi farmiliar with him and we know what he can do. If we draft Griffin or Thabeet or Hill though then my guess is we're pretty much set at the PF/C spots.

this coming off season the team has an option whether or not to pick it up...

I really haven't seen enough of him to say yes or no. I do think its possible to pick him up. Utah has a serious decision to make between Boozer and Milsap. If they want to retain both, it would seriously encumber them in the 2010 offseason. Ronnie Price is also available, but would probably come at the higher price than Fesenko.

thats what i was thinking too.. might as well sign him for 3 mil for 3 years or something

he's young and can definitely play behind hawes

I actually like him a lot--people won't know this because they probably haven't seen enough of him, but among big men, physically, he's very unique. 300 lb guy with almost freak level athleticism--he can really get up there, and he's a 7-footer. That combination is almost otherworldly...and he's only 20 years old. So there's obviously a lot of potential there already, and in terms of skills he's actually shown a solid skillset in terms of rebounding and defending the low post, from what I've seen. He's gifted physically, and his offense can develop over time. Sure he needs to grow a brain and some basketball IQ, but I wouldn't worry about that too much with his unique build--just get players around him who can cover up for his weaknesses. He's actually an under-the-radar player much like Orlando's Marcin Gortat, and I wouldn't mind baiting him for nearly $2 million under several years

He's an interesting talent.

These are the kind of free agents I want the kings to be looking at. There cheap and they have some upside .. no more 'vets' if there going to ***** and complain about playing time and winning .. were a young team trying to rebuild, get on or get out.

From last year to this past year, he has really improved in his IQ from the limited time I've seen him play. I remember the year piror, he was a stepping stone waiting to be dunked on. This year, he seems a little more intelligent. Not much though, but I wouldn't mind taking a flyer on him.

we can sign him for a cheaper contract than what ike will demand from the front office. and hes younger than ike.... you cant teach athleticism and length..

if we sign him our bigman rotation can be

hawes will play 33 mins (15 mins remaining on the center)
JT will play 30 mins (18 mins remaining on the PF position)

if we do sign kyrylo he can get the 20 mins between those two big men and the remainder 13 mins can be divided to some other players

lets hope he doesnt decide to play for europe

i was wondering why we didnt draft him before if the kings liked him.. it could have been a reach at our draft position that time but im pretty sure he would have been a much better choice than quincy
