Caitlyn Clark polarization among WNBA peers and fans

That’s crazy she isn’t part of the promotion but Whitlock is just stirring up stuff at this point. I remember liking some of his stuff 15 years ago but now it’s nothing but inflammatory hot takes.
He actually has a point. There have been a couple players in the past that came out after they finished their careers saying how they were constantly ridiculed because the were straight.

That really makes no sense and I tend to not believe it. An LGBTQ publication identified 42 openly gay WNBA players. Other “studies” have suggested somewhere between 28 and 38 percent of the league are part of that demographic, in other words they are of the clear minority. This idea that every one in the league is gay besides Clark and a handful of others and they are hated for it is unfounded.

I was just repeating what former players said. maybe it was more of a problem on their team, but I don't know why they would make it up.

I just can't believe it took that many years for a WNBA player to realize being insufferable isn't the route to go and just like that a mega star was born. It would be cool if the monarchs were still around I would like to go see her IRL.

Jealousy on the part of WNBA players caused Clark to head for Europe. I think they are getting what they deserve.
Roughing up a rookie because she was highly touted and well paid is the dumbest thing I have seen in a while.
The meal ticket for WNBA jumped ship and is having the last laugh.

There is a 0% chance that Clark plays in Europe. She doesn't need the money. She didn't even bother with Unrivaled basketball despite them offering serious cash and equity.

She's not playing for petty cash. She's aiming to be the GOAT one day.

Okay who does Clark have a contract with?
The Fever. The only other league she is considering is called “Unrivaled”. It was formed by a couple current WNBA players, it’s 3 on 3 and was put together to give WNBA players an alternative to playing overseas in the offseason (a new way of supplementing income). She hasn’t decided on it yet, but given she makes a ton of money, my guess is she might want to enjoy her offseason instead, at least for now.
