Bosnian Diehard
Starter
Finished with 34 points and 9 REBOUNDS. He can be an elite rebounding guard in the league. This guy has unlimited potential on both ends. Keep the development going! High defensive floor, higher ceiling.

I think their numbers are off. The play by play section shows he had 27 points and his shot attempts and makes add up to 27 points as well.
Still a fantastic game. I just found out a while ago that the G League box scores are sometimes off by more than a negligible amount.

I’m not sure but it might be due to the way they count free throws 1 make is worth two (instead of taking two shots) until the end of games. So my guess is he had 6 trips to the line for a total of 13 points (one being a foul on a three.) I’m not sure on this though. Their individual point total add up to 120 so I think the 34 is correct.
Edit: so I went through the play by play. He had 2 trips to the line on fouled threes (6 points) one technical foul free throw (1 point) and 3 two point shots he was fouled on (6 points) for a total of 13 points at the line.
Carter with 24 points in the first half. He dominates the G League every time he’s down there, a sign of a clear NBA player. Anyone writing him off already is foolish imo. He hasn’t had any sort of consistent playing time since returning from injury and has not been able to develop a rhythm since then. I think he’ll be big for us next year.
Someone is writing him off? LOL, classic Kings fans.
We are a long ways away from this even being a thing but I do dream of this lineup in the future:
Carter
Keon
Lavine
Keegan
Sabonis
Defensively that lineup could be sick. Theoretically you would have 3 plus defenders, 5 capable shooters, 3 plus rebounders. ISO scoring would not be a strength. Keegan would have to be a 16-19 a game kinda guy. Carter would have to take a huge leap. But that could be fun. Monk back to big time scorer off the bench.
I’m excited to watch the development of Dev
Not that I hate this as an eventual lineup, but this implies that both Monk and DeRozan have moved on, and unless we're going to propose that they moved on in free agency, we ought to have gotten some good assets for them, and one of the Carter/Keon/Murray slots in the rotation would hopefully be filled with an even better player.
I’ve got Monk coming off the bench in a 6th man role in this scenerio.
I'm afraid I just don't see that happening. Genie, bottle, toothpaste, tube. Monk is a starter now, and that can't be undone.

Yes it can. Fultz actually looks like the best starting pg. I'm a big Keon fan, but his handles aren't up there yet for primary ball handler.I'm afraid I just don't see that happening. Genie, bottle, toothpaste, tube. Monk is a starter now, and that can't be undone.

If we moved Monk to the bench for Fultz, I'm 99% sure that he would actively revolt. Like, Monk firebombing G1C would not be out of the realm of possibility (OK, maybe a little beyond the realm, but you get my point). So, like, you can do it, but the consequences of doing so will almost certainly be worse than the benefits.
Monk's best role in fact has been as a 6th man spark plug, but I am quite certain that Monk does not believe that, and that's what matters.
It’s definitely a big question. On the flip side, he did re-sign with the kings over other teams he could have allegedly started for (may or may not be true). Mike Brown always said bench guys should want to start or play more minutes. It probably comes down to winning. If we are a 50 plus win team he is probably ok with the role. A .500 squad is a different story.
A ticked off Monk might actually produce benefits on the floor. He's the kind of guy that can play better with a chip on the shoulder and something extra to prove
Yeah. At the same time, he resigned here where his initial position WAS as the 6th man. He was not the starter in camp. That coach is no long here.
.
I might revolt too. Fultz is a reclamation project. He's thrown a few passes that had a better chance to connect with me on my couch in Portland than any of his teammates the past few games, I think he will put it together and could become a valuable contributor with some more time, but please. If we moved Monk to the bench for Fultz, I'm 99% sure that he would actively revolt. I agree. Let's pump the brakes a bit. If Fultz can be a starting PG, he can just as easily bring those skills off the bench. Monk has more than paid his dues here and he not only deserves to be starting but is very effective with that unit. Fultz is a great pickup, let's let it be that. Let's let Fultz make us that super deep team, not Monk.I might revolt too. Fultz is a reclamation project. Here's some highlights of Carters game. Really good to see him working on finishing around the rim and the floater. It's all there, it just needs to be tapped.
That guy guarding him.Looked like he was going against a high school player
Regardless, made some nice plays and shots
