Hey, Kentucky fan here; and I gotta say, I am not the least bit surprised by Boogie's production thus far. I watched him play every game this year (and went to a bunch), and he just got better every game. I think he is the biggest steal of the draft...even as high as he went. He is going to pee you off at some point in the season, but you will genuinely love this kid by the end.

His "reputation" was exaggerated, but he does have a bit of a temper. It only make him play harder, though. By the end of last season, teams were using psychological ploys to try to get under his skin; but he just got better!

Off the court, the kid is shy; but he's a goof-ball and he means well. The more comfortable he gets, the more he comes out of his shell. Honestly, I think he is just scratching the surface of his potential. He's 19 and he's only getting better.

Sorry for the long winded post, but I really appreciate this young man. And call me a band-wagoner if you will, but I am officially a Kings fan. Sac-town seems like the perfect place for him. Can't wait to see Evans dish to him (and vice versa!)
1. Sorry for the delay in approving your post; things tend to be hectic around here after a game.

2. Not sure what sort of "short attention span theatre" message boards you're used to posting on but, around here, that wouldn't be considered "long-winded" at all. Looks like you'll fit in nicely.

3. Hai Opal!

4. Welcome to KingsFans!

He still makes some frustrating mistakes, but gd that game was impressive. I didn't think he was going to have much of a game the way he started out.

Cousins = WOW!!! Now you all know why when we got the 5th pick we were all about to jump off the bridge... I should have listened to the people that said Kahn was an idiot because he might have just single handedly saved the Kings by taking Johnson! :)

Like I had said before.. Cousins is a special player and will be a star!

Kahn is proving to be the best GM the Kings have ever had ;)

How wonderful and ironic it was to hear that *** of a man Kahn blathering on (oh and he was quite the jokester to even try to compare Webber and Darko!) during the game. Just totally reassured me of our excellent luck picking after him. Nothing against Wes Johnson, but it's literally nearly guaranteed that he will make the wrong pick. And then Cousins goes and hits the game winner against his sorry ***. Perfect! It's good to be a Kings fan baby.

there was actually a poll on espn's daily dime live a couple days ago, the question was: Which would you rather have as a gm? David Khan or an Avocado?.........the poll had the avocado at 84% and david khan at 16% and that was after alot of votes

It's just absolutely mind boggling that a man like Kahn has a position as a GM in the NBA. It's a total mind-bender. Twilight zone kinda thing. Really actually it's scary. But don't get me wrong I'm all for it, as long as Webb continues to put his sorry *** in his place if he ever tries to piggy back a Darko comment onto Webb's legacy... that was just.... utterly ridiculous to say the least. Honestly he is probably jacked up on some high class Vegas drugs. That's the only explanation. Nobody is that dumb by themselves. It's too difficult.

You would still have Al Jefferson on your team, plus you could make a nice guacamole.

Mmmmmmm...now that's a win-win!

I love it when Chris said "we are not going to talk about me and Darko in the same sentence." He looked pissed at the end. Kahn really is an idiot.
At the end of the interview Webb says under his breath sarcastically "Good luck...". I also love when Kahn says about Darko "I've never seen a big man who can pass like him" and Webb scoffs "really?". And Kahn says "like Vlade," and Webb is like "..like Vlade? Wow..." THAT was funny!

Surprise surprise

lol kahn is a jackass. it looked like chris just wanted to smack him at the end. LOL
Chris seems a little extra sensitive to me. I thought it was an innocent question with no aim at disrespect. I took it as Khan was trying to learn from Chris so he can help do a better job with Darko. It is true that Chris was not performing to his potential until he came to Sacto. I guess where Chris is coming from is he's convinced that Darko has no potential so he though Khan was an i.di.ot to begin with.

I'm thinking you and Kahn may be the only ones on that boat...

Just think of how much better he will be once he is in NBA shape. You know that the Kings training staff is probably working overtime with him right now.
For as much as conditioning's an issue, he put up this performance while playing 34 minutes in his third game in three nights, and he finished strong.

I do think Kahn was being an *** to Webber, but Webber was pressing him a little harder than what you expect with interviews like that, but then again Kahn really does ask for it with his moves and how much of a blathering press whore he is.

If Kahn was my only source of info, Darko would be a mix of C-Webb and Vlade with the skills of a PF in a 7'1" body. What the avocado would say about Darko would be more truthful.

Webb was talking to him like a mother talks to someone's mentally impaired kid or an old guy with Alzheimers.

Webber was just fine, Kahn gave a contract to a league-wide SCRAP that has been cast off from everywhere he's been. Webb knows the ins and outs of the league, he was subtly telling Kahn that he's an idiot. For passing on D Cousins and signing Darko. He IS an idiot. Period.
