Is he a FA or is this a trade?
This could be a move to free up capspace for OKC to sign Millsap....OKC wants to dump Kanter on us, but we know that would have to have a first round pick included.

Enes Kanter to the Kings? Reporting it as "talks" on NBATV.
14 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 54% fg in only 21 mpg off the bench last year.. I think i'd be cool with Enes.[/quote
Umm....who does he guard?
Exactly. Makes no ****ing sense for the Kings to make a run at aging big named FAs who will decline within 2 years. I don't get it. Lots of money tied up in an aging player.. for what? bring vet leadership? Temple and Koufos can do that. to bring in our players slowly? Temple and Koufos can do that too. to help Skal and Giles become better players? uhm Kings can spend less than $1million on individual specific trainers for them..
17 mil this year 18 po next year
I think one thing that people are overlooking here is that this team really lacks a go to scorer. That is why, despite popular opinion Rudy Gay makes some sense here for a couple of seasons while the youngsters mature to take over that mantle. This team will struggle to score next season hence reported interest in Rudy, Gallinari and Millsap.
Given the lack of depth at SF, I would rather that player be a SF than a PG or a PF.
And that is a legit concern to be honest but if he healthy I can understand the interest. The injury is real. Dude might not recover. In addition he might have turned down what he might fetch on the market for 2.5 years. It's an interesting tidbit though
I wouldn't believe every rumor either. We'll see who they actually meet withSo Paul George and Jimmy Butler are now in the western conference but the Kings are reportedly looking at big name free agents why exactly?
So they can try and win now with 9 guys on rookie contracts?
I'm not a huge Tucker fan but at least that makes some sense.
I don't think it's that he can't learn. He's obviously a bright guy. It's that he comes across as a guy who always thinks he's the smartest guy in the room.
He also laid all the blame for the Malone firing at PDA & Mully's feet and through Petrie under the bus the next season in an interview where he was trying to absolve himself for the missteps so far. And then had to retract his statements when Petrie came out and said he was lying.
A big ego and a lack of personal accountability is what I've see so far. And while he's been less visible and it's possible he's been humbled and learned a lot, there's no proof that he has. If anything, the rumbles and rumors about basketball ops and around Granger's unfortunate departure have largely suggested the opposite.
Sometimes I think maybe I'm holding too much of a grudge over things like "Stauskas? Stauskas?" and calling him Klay Curry but then I hear Buddy Hield say that Vivek told him early in the season that "we're still gonna get you" and then Ranadive say he thinks Buddy has Steph Curry potential.
Every time I think he's making progress and leaving things to his basketball people there's a story or quote about him still meddling and more evidence that he's still obsessed with the Warriors.
We may never know which one of us is right but I absolutely still don't trust him not to force the team to make stupid moves.

Teams can talk to their free agents.Nene signed
How are teams doing this?

No outs for Nene in four-year, $15M deal with Rockets (@Jonathan Feigenfirst).
I'm guessing that is a writer Miss speaking. They cannot sign until the 6th I believe but they can commit before then. Remember the whole DeAndre Jordan Fiasco?Nene signed

Exact opposite because his home country has declared him a member of a terrorist organization he cannot return home. I believe he is seeking political asylum in the United States and citizenship here. It's his father they put in prison because of his outspoken support of a politically unpopular cleric.Isn't Kanter stuck overseas as Turkey is saying he's a terrorist?
BREAKING NEWS!!!!
PER TWITTER: KINGS INTERESTED IN EVERY FREE AGENT ON THE MARKET!!! WILLING TO SIGN EVERYONE TO A MAX DEAL!!!!
Come on everyone, don't believe everything you hear. Just about every Agent is going to leak that the Kings are interested in their client to drive up their asking price.
I don't believe it! I think Vlade and Perry will play it smart, like we did last year!![]()
Meanwhile, the Eastern Conference continues to lose more all-star players. Who's next? Lowry?
Would Iguodala take a big 2 year deal with team option for the 3rd year?
Come on guys. Have we not learned from the Lakers "signing high character vets to lead their young players"? Luol Deng was a 31 yearold vet who they gave a 4-year $72million. Absolute non-factor this year, and they're looking for ways to get rid of his contract. Or how about the famous Timofey Mozgov contract? 4-year $65million. They were forced to include their former #2 overall pick in his salary dump...

With Iggy, I have no problem giving him a 1 year $20million contract. If it's 2 years, I hope it's only partially guaranteed. However, I could see a guy like Iggy looking for 1 last giant paycheck. That's the type of deal I'd want to avoid. Last year, I thought the Lakers did good by signing Deng... but I was wrong.Look, if they were to sign Iggy to a four year deal for big bucks, I'm against it. But if they can sign him to a two year deal for big bucks, I'm on board. It all depends on the length of the contract, and judging from the contracts they gave to Afflalo and Tolliver, I think the Kings are aware of where they are right now. I doubt their going to tie up a lot of money long term on an aging veteran. But short term, that's a different story. I think the youngsters will get plenty of minutes regardless of who they sign (Otto Porter being an exception). I think what the Kings are looking for is a resemblance of stability this coming season. Difficult to do that without some veteran leadership.
