Now Yahoo sports has it's own little twist on the story:
http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba-ru...rtedly-trying-trade-rajon-174100584--nba.html
I like the trade proposal as another talent concentration but it would leave us with no back up pg and woefully small at the 4. BUT if you start this coming off season with Cousins, Gay and Rondo under contract, putting pieces around them will not be that hard.
Yeah, think that's yet another spinoff just picked up from The Latino Post/whatever that other source was.
You're educating the wrong guy. I'm not discussing real world trade scenarios but what Rondo would be worth to our team. Stop taking it so literally.
Hey, isn't this supposed to be family friendly? Think of all the little ones who you just broke their little hearts ........What's the point of discussing something that can not happen? Are you sending Santa your christmas list too?
My point was that the smoke continues, at some point there might actually be a fire.
Reading the morning tea leaves looking under the key words "Kings" and "guards", I found we need a PG at least good enough to be regular back-up for IT, and we need a SG at least good enough to back-up Ben or start. Without losing anyone we need those new ones. If we got them who would we get rid of? Of course thr two that are there now that don't help - Thornton and Jimmer. So what should we do? I don't think Rondo is the answer because he costs too much and is a least a month away from playing his first few minutes. So what will the FO do next? Damned if I can figure it out.

The entire function of this board is to discuss professional sports in a way none of us will ever actually be able to influence. Is discussing hypothetical trade value really such a departure from that or is this just another excuse for you to be a grinch?
If you want people to really pay attention to your trade idea and get maximum feedback, we suggest you do the following:
1. Make sure the salaries work. Use a trade checker like realGM Trade Checker
2. Don't just post a bunch of names. Go the distance. Actually state reasons why you think each of the teams involved would do it.
3. Be prepared to back up your proposal. We have people here who live and breathe to shoot down trade scenarios that don't make sense.
4. Have fun. It's just a way to pass the time until the season starts.
Yes it is. There is no point in discussing hypothetical values that aren't possible under the collective bargaining agreement.

You could use any of those 4 suggestions to derail most of the trade threads on this board. And you're still missing the point that I was simply addressing the proposed value in the rumor that many people (myself included) stated couldn't happen. It's a message board. Lighten up.
Section101 is right. While there are all kinds of trade scenarios discussed every single day around here, those tips were written because before they existed it was Fantasy Island for a few posters, who pretty much flooded the board with their latest "idea" on trades that couldn't be made.
I think you both could lighten up a bit.
Never mind.

Serious talks on Boston-Houston package for Asik have included Brandon Bass, Courtney Lee and a 1st round pick, sources tell Yahoo.

If such a package were to come together, it is unclear if Lee would go to Rockets or be routed to a third team.
I assume we would probably get Lee and maybe a bench big but we would have to give up Thompson.
With that in mind, here's an opening bid in the Cousins sweepstakes: Rajon Rondo, Jeff Green, and a first-round pick in exchange for DeMarcus Cousins and either Isaiah Thomas or Ben McLemore (let the Celtics have their choice).
Trading Cousins would leave a gaping hole in the Kings' frontcourt, but there are opportunities for filling it through other trades. The Denver Nuggets seem to be faring better with Timofey Mozgov than JaVale McGee.
In this scenario, the Kings would be left with a nucleus of Rajon Rondo, Jeff Green, Rudy Gay, and JaVale McGee. Derrick Williams, Jason Thompson, Carl Landry, and either Ben McLemore or Isaiah Thomas would be part of the core rotation, and they would be left with multiple first -ound picks in a deep draft.
Look at what some yahoo journalist is saying (I have never read such stupidity)
Than to top it off thy suggest we trade for Javale McGee....
I really wonder if these people have seen Cousins play?

No we need a starting pg so IT can go back to doing what he does best.
Check out the tagline. "Yahoo Contributor Network" is not a journalist. Its just a fan. I actually experimented with being part of the Yahoo Contributor Network, but here is what I discovered: they actively WANT you to be stupid. They won't accept anything that they worry might compete with their real journalists, so they actively encourage you to write things from a dumbed down perspective. You can imagine my bemusement.

Where is it circulating again?Rondo trade talk circulating again and Kings are being mentioned.
Without seeing rondo play, it's too risky of a move
However, if Rondo comes back healed and plays like an all-star then his value goes way up again and we have nothing to offer
If that happens though, I doubt they'd trade him. They'll probably just build around him and future draft pick. They would be smart to just keep him out for remainder season and let Boston tank. Maybe bring him back last month for some fitness.
