[Quick Notes]
Not a great over-all game from Fredette, but he had some very impressive moments. He shot the ball poorly for most of the game. He didn’t take a lot of 3pt shots, most of his shots were in the lane, and they were rolling off the rim. He only had 8 points in the 1st half, but finished the game with 23 points.
What was impressive is what occurred at the 9 minute mark of the 2nd half.
Utah ahd finally clawed its way back into a tie. Fredette scores his first points of the 2nd half and continues to score. In a span of 3 minutes Fredette goes on a 12-0 run to break the game open.
So 12 of his 23 points came in a critical point of the game. Other than that burst, he was content to run the offense, try to set people up, and get shots up in the lane when the opportunity presented itself.
Obouo and Emery for BYU carried the team in the 1st half, and Fredette closed it in the 2nd half.
