You said “As would anyone who understands basketball”. Same thing.
So only “casual fans” would take Bosh over Dalembert? No coaches, GMs, analysts, etc. would?
I’ll say it again. Puhlease, spare us the "if you understood basketball you'd agree with me" bit.
LOL. I don’t know what to say to that other than to call it the utter nonsense that it is.
Yeah? And? What’s that got to do with whether Bosh or Dalembert will help a team more?
Yeah well you know, we can’t all be experts.
Where did I say they weren’t better???
It isn’t guaranteed under any circumstance. Other than stating the obvious, what’s your point?
So what? Cutting it tight is where you want to be. Nine times out of ten the team that’s cutting it tight is better than the team that’s hoarding cap space waiting for a sweetheart deal to fall into their laps.
Nice cop-out, chump. Can't refute me, so try and belittle me. Typical tactic of those who grossly overestimate their own abilities.
It's my opinion. Thankfully I have pretty much all the knowledgable posters on my side. Not looking good for you, is it?
Not for this team, no. We have no need for Bosh, we do for Dally. Simples. It's pretty easy to understand.
If you'd displayed an ounce of basketball IQ up to this point I'd give you the benefit of the doubt. You haven't, though.
Call it what you want. In fact, some people in Sacramento don't have a clue about this teams needs. You're evidence of this. So I'd have little hope for people who don't even follow the team.
Dear lord. You need only look at the finals to see who helped their team win more. The soft scoring PF? Or the defensive rebounding, shot-blocking center? This is pretty amazing - you're outdoing yourself.
Never said you did. Was referring to you being unable to grasp that we can get a better SF in FA, as well as a PG who fits in better with what we have. And keep our cap space and flexibility.
Correct, but it's much more likely if we don't just have the bare minimum to engage with.
Cutting it tight with players that you want and that fit. Not taking on other teams big contracts in order to get a good player (who is overpaid himself and is doubtful to fit on our team). This should be fairly simple. There's a formula, and it's not letting other people dump their contracts on us.
There. Refuted. Now I'm going to go and do what I know many other posters have already done - ignore list. Your posts make my head hurt and lower the IQ of the forum.
Dime, rookie, dial it back.
I think the most telling part of this discussion is a PM I just got telling me they're having a great laugh at your posts. Seriously, I have no intention of wasting my time on you. Thankfully this trade won't go down because it's pretty bad. As pretty much all the experts/analysts/whatever you want to call them tend to agree.
What I find hilarious is that no one has bashed the Maloofs more than Rookie and now he expects them to take on Parker, Jefferson, and resign Marcus and Dally? Cutting it close on the cap for a team that'll still be just battling for the 8th seed is not gonna fill the house up every night and have the Maloofs feeling comfortable. Not backing up the Maloofs here, just wondering how all of a sudden you think they're gonna double their payroll?
Bosh adds to a team what Kevin Martin adds to a team. He is the KMart of pf's.
Daly adds to a team what Chandler adds to a team. Defense/rebounding.
Which direction has this team been going?
Iggy will make close to $15 mil a year for THREE more years, and KF's are OK with taking on his contract?I'd still do this if:
1) Iggy trade was not possible
Not only turning their noses up, but some are saying those of us who think adding Parker is a good idea have low basketball IQs and just don't know what we're talking about, hahaha.Who gives a crap about Bosh?!
And what does he or Chandler have to do with the Kings?
Newsflash - the Kings flat-out SUCKED last year in 4th quarter execution - one of the very worst and hapless teams in the entire league.
Yet, KF's are turning up their nose at getting an elite NBA vet PG with plenty of years left in his tank for only $12.5 mil a season.
Amazing.
I will say this .. someone tweeted about an hour ago, I cant even remember who cause my brain is pretty much turning to mush will all this trade talk, but someone said Sac wont deal for Parker because of his contract, but Felton for 7 is still in play.
I would take Parker and the bad Jefferson contract before I take a one year rental on Felton any day of the week. Felton for #7 would be a terrible trade. One of Petries worst. It cant be even remotely true.

Has he ever been in the playoffs or proven he's a clutch NBA performer like Tony Parker has?
Does he make the offense run?

Iggy's assists do not mean he can run an offense. They may just mean he can pass well within an offensive system, but the Kings do not have a legit offensive system.
And I like Iggy, but he is overpaid. He doesn't help the vet/leadership issue nearly as much as Parker does.

Am I the only one who doesn't think we need another guard on our team? I think we can add a swingman guard, but not someone at the 1/2 position. I like Reke/Beno/Thornton there, and I think if we add a starting caliber swingman and put him at the three, then back him up with Donte, we'd be fine there. Unless you're talking about an elite level player, I don't think we should take on significant salary for a player that doesn't make us a playoff contender. I like Parker and think he's better than any other guard we have, but he's also expensive, and comes with another expensive player, and I don't think that move makes us any better than a 40 win team. Plus, it restricts our flexibility moving forward.
