Time to play jamaal s.

Fairly obvious -- too many bodies in front of him.

That said, I'd be all in favor of activating him (there is NO WAY he whould be inactive while Price is on the active roster) and just throwing him in there if another layup drill ensues at the rim. I know we won't. But what is the wrost that could happen? We accidentally stop somebody?

seriously, we need something off our bench. it's pretty rediculous how badly we're being outscored. piksi observed that our entire bench was outscored by one player for the knicks.

"our bench scored as much as Crawford (16) and got outscored by Frye (19)".

pathetic.

^^^sampsons a scorer?

Wow is that why he is only on his 3rd team in 3 years?

Coach has guys like corlis sitting waiting on the bench to drive into the lane, crash offensive boards and what not, but they will continue to work on getting those calouses on thier behinds to the max before coach plays them.

i'm not saying he's a scorer. if we can't score why dont we just bring a 7-footer off the bench to help swat some shots. i'm willing to take any big man at this point that has played and practiced with shaquille oneal.

There is a reason he has been in street clothes the last few games and maybe even on inactive list. Bringing him in will not solve Kings big man issues. On floor coordination and defensive helping is the issue to be solved. With SAR, Kenny and Corliss plus Skinner-Miller, we have the pieces and I think really good pieces. Now to fit them together.......

I don't know if any of you have ever watched him play, but when he was with the Lakers I watched him start a couple of games. He was ahhh... horrible. Trust me, if he were 6-11 he would not be in the NBA.

If there were any real gems going up in the draft this year I'd agree.

He wasn't horrible with the Bobcats (doesn't matter if it's the Bobcats - the play). Plus that was two seasons ago with the Lakers, he came into the league quite early.

As far as Jamal playing, I'd love to see it, I think he'd be productive.

I'd like to see him getting some play too. Get some size in there for a change. Pollard was a big contributer here for several years. Surely Sampson can at least do what Pollard did, grab some rebounds and bang in the paint.

We have pieces...but nobody who could stop ME on defense. Sampson is not going to play, but he is the best/only legit tall shotblocking player we have. We spend so much time worrying about how our midget "flexible" pieces will fit together offensively that we forget that there is a bleeping red carpet down the middle of the paint, "guarded" by a team full of midget SFs playing out of position.

We do have all the pieces to form a great team- big men who can score, pass, rebound, defend, block shots, clog the paint and open up the offense, as well as bring scoring and energy off the bench. Problem is, those pieces are distributed unevenly through 6 guys contesting for minutes at 2 spots. We can play Sampson, but lose minutes for Skinner, or play both, lose minutes for Corliss and Thomas, play Thomas and Skinner, miss out on some scoring and won't find out if Jamal is good... For a lot of teams, when you play them it's pick your poison- defend one guy and another burns you. We have the same situation, only internally. Whoever we play, we will end up with a gaping deficiency in another part of our game. This team has "the pieces" but it is absolutely not possible to make them all fit and give them all the minutes needed to be impact players in any way. Just one more of the many reasons that this team absolutely needs to be taken apart- both starters and bench. We have plenty of talent, just talent thrown together randomly, even accidently. (see:Abdur Rahim, Shareef; Thomas, Kenny; Williamson, Corliss; also Mobley, Cuttino) There is no way this talent can be used to its full potential, some one will miss out.
