[Game] Thunder @ Kings 2-9-12

Kings seem to play their best games against the best opponents - Lakers, Heat, Thunder, etc. Anyone else noticing this? Is it because they don't get up for the other games? Because they play more seriously and less selfishly? Coincidence?

Being at home with a crushing crowd behind them may have something to do with it.

if we had a crowd like that every night, we would be up there with Utah and Portland and Golden State for most hostile places to play.

Charles definitely likes Sac, he also knows what he says bothers most of you, which is why he says it. He loved playing here. Back in the mid 90's when he was on the Rockets I was sitting on the baseline a few rows up and he was jawing with the fans the whole game. There was a guy sitting right behind the basket with a card board cutout of a girl in a bikini shaking it during the rockets shots. During one of his free throws. He stopped, put his head down, shook it, started laughing. Then drained the free throw. Then made a comment to the guy that basically said "that **** don't work on me" Most of those guys really like this town. Kenny does. Reggie does. Seen Reggie out on the town a few times years back mingling with the fans like a normal guy.

I think the reason they like this town is 1. the fans are great, who doesn't like playing in a building with that much energy. 2. The people of Sacramento are pretty laid back, stars can go to the mall, dinner, bar and not be mobbed or swarmed. (It's also one of the reasons the 49ers liked summer camp here) 3. Once these guys get over 30 and don't care about going to the clubs, it's a nice place to come.

Shaq obv hates us and always will. He should though.
