Thunder fan here.. trade idea.

OKC THunder

Prospect
Ok, I have been playing a bit too much of Nba 2k9 so now I think I am a GM but tell me what you guys think about this trade.

Earl Watson PG
Both OKC thunder 1st round picks

For Blake.

You guys get a PG of starting quality (He started for the sonics) with a good shot to get a big.

Personally, I don't want Watson. And I would only do this if we got the first pick (obviously) and you guys got the second. I only want Rubio or Griffin. Not worth giving up Blake unless we can get Rubio and another pick. The drop off is too significant.

Hmm, i don't think it would be the most beneficial trade for our future. I think we'd be better off with just keeping Griffin. Since your around I have a counter proposal to see what you think...

Assuming you get the #2 and Rubio and the Kings get #1 and Griffin how about

Blake Griffin
Andres Nocioni

for

Ricky Rubio
Jeff Green

The only reason that the Kings would want Earl Watson would be for his expiring contract. We already have Beno Udrih, a walking turnover who doesn't defend. Those 2 picks on the other hand would be very, very tempting, especially if the first one was 2-4 range. If the Kings had 4 first round picks this year, there is no reason they would want any more veteran point guards. Many on this board were looking at a Jeff Green + 1st 1st rounder (4thish overall pick) for Francisco Garcia or Dante Greene and Blake Griffin. So to reiterate, the Kings would love to trade you Blake Griffin for some combination of 1st round picks, but please keep veteran PGs away...

Honestly, if Sacramento does end up with the #1 pick, this is the kind of offer I would expect from Oklahoma City. The only three guys we would be interested in are the three guys they're not going to trade so probably it doesn't happen.

I personally wouldn't mind giving up Green + 1 1st round pick. But the word on the street in OKC is that Green, Westbrook and Durant are now personal friends with good chemistry. The thinking is if you deal one it may upset the apple cart.

Not sure how true that is, but thats the gossip around here.

Yeah, im sure its true. Yet I think the Thunder would be willing to start a new friendship with Griffin if they had the chance...

Depending on where that #1 ends up I would consider it. Top 5? I might do it, depending on workoouts etc. #6-#10, and that's too late in this draft.

but you guys seriously should make that a sign and trade package for Diogu instead.

with OKC at the 4 spot in the draft i dont think its wise to trade griffin UNLESS we get the ones we want...

im pretty sure wizards would take rubio if we dont at the 1... they can easily move arenas at the 2 and caron at the 3 so pretty much after the two players are gone its a crapshoot whos going to be a good player

Welcome to the board :)

As for the trade, If the Kings want Rubio, then I think they do it.. Other than that, probably not.

Have you played Live 09? If so how does it compare to 2K9? Been playing a lot of Live and am not a huge fan, liked 08 much better.

As for the trade, I'd do it if you guys had the #2. Rubio plus 2 more first rounders and we've got a lot of young talent to work with.

live has been always about the presentation i liked how the intro to the finals and allstars were... also after winning the championship

2k9 is more realistic in terms of movement and gameplay.. people there actually play some D.. (even our kings play D! lol) spurs there are lock down Ds... the presentation pre finals and pre allstargames are pretty much meh... boring same as regular season

but there is so much to do too...

player editing has become possible too... so in my opinion 2k is better than live i was a live fan myself till i played the 2k series
